1 minute read (give or take): At a very small strip mall, at the NW corner of the intersection of Vineland & Victory in North Hollywood, we saw “Mis Burritos”. We were across the street at CVS Pharmacy and my wife was very hungry, so we walked across the street. It wasn’t till we ordered, sat down, that I l👀ked at one of their business cards and found out I was calling this joint “Los Burritos”, when it’s “MIS BURRITOS”- silly me🤜🏼🤣🤛🏼 I ordered the Carne Asada combo for my wife (Jocelyn) and Menudo for me. However, we both share. Jocelyn said her two tacos were ver good. She had 2 tacos, 4 oz of rice and a small dab of refried beans- maybe 2-3 oz. My menudo was nice and hot. And to me, that’s very important. I can’t stand tepid menudo OR French Fries. It was accompanied by 4 hot corn tortillas and the usual condiments that you add to Menudo: oregano, dried roasted red pepper flakes, cilantro, diced onion and limón. The eating area has a few tables and a couple of booths. It as fairly clean. Parking may be a problem but since we parked across the street, we couldn’t complain. It use to be that what we ordered would run under One Sawbuck. What we paid is INFLATION IN ACTION. See receipt...
Read moreBeen coming here for over 20 years. The food is consistently delicious (pozole is my favorite and all the caldos as well as birria) but what has always been a hit and miss is the service. It’s mostly unfriendly & welcoming of customers especially who consistently have been loyal. This afternoon’s was an example. There wasn’t a warm welcome to a familiar face…it was “what are you picking up?” Ok whatever I’m used it. What bothered me is I asked for the salsa that’s provided for the pozole for my chicken soup. The lady said it would be .55 cents. Really? I mean you already charge an extra 75 cents for credit card transaction & provide unfriendly service. No consideration for loyal customers. No thank you. I’ll just use own homemade salsa.
Next time I think of chicken soup for my sick daughter I’ll go to La Maria Restaurant (down the street) who has a good chicken soup, better service, and doesn’t...
Read moreI rode my electric scooter with my son. As I was trying to order my food the rude lady Magdalena says to me "get that thing out of here. You need to leave it on the curb outside" I explained it was my personal scooter and was not going to leave a 500 dollar scooter outside unatended. Well she was like" too bad Thats the rule!". Mind you the restaurant was empty. It was my first time walking in the place... thats how i was greeted... as if it was the last place on earth to eat. Did she expect me to still spend money here after that type...
