First time visiting this store and when I enter there was a guy coming in right after me. Who seem pretty rude and impatient and because he was this way he totally jumped in front of me. And started talking to the guy at the register. Now at this point it was really left up to the guy at the register to show and perform great customer service skills. By assisting me first because I was initially next. But he did not instead he started to talk to the impatient guy about his order and then he took my order next. šBad customer service skills. But nevertheless, there was another guy there by the name of EBO and when he witness this. He spoke to the guy at the register in a different language. I did not know but knew exactly what he said to him. Which was.. "she was first and you should of took her order instead of his". The guy understand and kinda shook his head and proceeding on. Once he finished taking my order EBO complimented me asked me how my day was going. And told me where the bathroom was. I am writing this review because EBO knows what great customer service is and I just wanted to say again thank you. You are really appreciated. You should teach the guy at the register what you know about great customer service skills because you ROCK! šThank you Sir for making a difference and putting a smile on my face while visiting this store todayš. Ā Ā Ā Read moreInteresting experience!! My son wanted to check this place out since the Avengers was filmed at this location. The place was under construction. So it's a little hectic with workers inside working on the counter and ceiling. So when we entered the restaurant, it's an order first, and then find a place to sit. I was a bit set back with the prices being a little higher then the norm. The employee at the counter seemed a bit more concerned with joking with his employees instead of taking our order. So we stood around the dusty counter waiting for him to acknowledge us. Once we placed the order, we were given a number and was asked to come back to pick up our order. We sat outside, which had a nice patio area seating in the parking area. Surprised to us, an employee brought out our food. Asked us if we needed anything and was able to get it to us with no delay. Very courteous and polite server!!!! The three of us ordered a different item each. Can I say, "TASTY TASTY DELISH"!!!!! The amount for each plate is enough to get you pretty full and satisfied. The seasoning was great!! Not bland, not salty!!! We all tried each others plate of food, and each one was delicious! If your in the area, definitely try their food. A bit pricey, but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in here with my partner to grab dinner to go. Total cost for a chicken shawarma, one strip of beef Koobideh and two small drinks was $50.
Iāve been to a lot of shawarma places all over Southern California and in the Middle East and Shalom Grill and their shawarmas have a more Greek Gyro flavor with the Tzatziki sauce and onions they add to it. This is not good or bad just my opinion after tasting shawarmas from all over. The shawarma was still quite tasty.
My partner got the beef Koobideh plate with the yellow and white rice and two grilled tomatoes. My partner and I agree this dish was excellent and exactly what one would expect when ordering Koobideh Beef.
The only thing is that I would consider a negative about the food is they asked if I wanted my shawarma on a baguette instead of pita. I was curious and tried it but I regret it and wish I got traditional pita instead.
Over all quality of the food was excellent but the cost is just too high compared to other shawarma shops with high quality food. For me to recommend returning to Shalom Grill and that is the only reason they get a 3 out of 5 stars. I will be unlikely to return to...
