We recently wrapped up another extended stay at the Beverly Hills Marriott—27 nights in total this trip (22 nights, then an additional 5 a week later). I've been traveling a lot for work this year, and am fortunate that my wife is able to travel with me. I hold Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Status and together this year we've already logged 127 in bed nights at Marriott Hotels across the country. ||I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties in the area that fit my work budget and are located close—or sometimes I thought, at least reasonably close—to my project sites (including Sheraton Universal, W Los Angeles, The Burton House, and Hollywood Volume). However, the Beverly Hills Marriott has become my preferred choice for ongoing work in the area due to its consistently great price, rooms, services and staff.||A few highlights about our Beverly Hills Marriott experiences:||Room Layout & Comfort: |The rooms are uniquely designed compared to other Marriott brands—no traditional desk or chair, but a round table, room width couch, and a somewhat narrow closet. While the room layout is more focused on leisure travelers, we found it comfortable for longer stays. The bathrooms are spacious, with plenty of storage and a large shower. ||Beds & Air Conditioning:|The beds, bedding, and pillows are the best we’ve experienced at any Marriott hotel—so much so that we’re planning to replicate the setup at home. The air conditioning is powerful and consistent, easily keeping the room at a cool 64°F for a great night’s sleep.||Suites & Upgrades: |The property has a limited number of suites (about 10 total), some of which are occupied long-term. Suite upgrades and Nightly Upgrade Awards (NUAs) can be tough to secure, especially with many Ambassador and Titanium members staying here. That said, I was able to use 5 NUAs on our last 5 nights for a spacious King Suite on the 12th floor—complete with a wet bar and plenty of room to work. Most of our stays here are in a standard king room, often with a high-floor upgrade.||Amenities: |The M Club offers daily breakfast and evening service, with a rotating selection of food and complimentary beer and wine in the evenings. There’s also a daily lobby happy hour (4–5pm) that transitions to the lounge until just after 6pm.||Dining: |The on-site restaurant/bar has had a few chef and menu changes recently, but the food quality remains high. We often dined in or ordered takeout to the room, but there are also plenty of great local options within walking distance or available via Uber Eats and robot delivery. Factor’s Famous Deli is just steps away, and South Beverly Drive, Rodeo Drive, and Santa Monica Blvd. are all within a 10-minute walk.||Staff: |Service is consistently excellent across the board—from management (special thanks to Saif), to the front desk (Alessandro, Laura), M Club and restaurant teams (Angel, Daniel, Vas, Edwin), valet (Armando, Edwin, Angel), housekeeping, and security (Fernando, Taylor). Employee Recognition Week happened during our stay, and it was clear the staff is both valued and motivated. They truly make a difference.||Rates & Value: |I’ve always found competitive AAA, corporate, or long-term stay rates. For our 22-night stay, I was able to negotiate a 50% valet discount and a long-term rate that kept the total nightly cost (room, valet, taxes) at $306 per night. Ambassador status and repeat business have definitely helped with upgrades and perks.||Our Bottom Line - The Beverly Hills Marriott checks all the boxes for comfort, convenience, and value—even for extended stays. If you’re looking for a reliable, welcoming base in Beverly Hills, I highly recommend this property. It’s my top pick in the area, and I look forward...
Read moreWe had a good experience at the Beverly Hills Marriott, overall. However, getting the room we needed was a frustrating experience in the following ways:
So, we did get the accessibility features that we needed, but it was a real ordeal to get them. There is so much room for improvement here, Marriott!!!
The room itself: The bathroom was great. There was room to maneuver my wheelchair. The bathtub side was low. There was good water pressure and temperature, and there were grab bars by the toilet and bathtub. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash on the wall would be impossible for anyone to reach while taking a bath unless they could stand up. I brought my own so this wasn't an issue for me, but I'm mentioning as an FYI.
The room was small, but there was adequate room to maneuver my wheelchair. The bed was very comfortable. As others have mentioned, we heard traffic noise from the street down below. I was surprised how loud it was and how many cars were on the road at 4:00am. I brought a white noise machine and wore ear plugs, which...
Read morewonderful hotel! We stayed here 8 days and wished we could've stayed longer!||We came to Beverly Hills for my two outpatient surgeries, and spent 8 days her.||We got a gorgeous Wellness Room on the 7th floor. It was hypoallergenic, which means that the floor's air handler has air purifiers built into it, as does each room. It's some sort of HEPA air filter unit that looks like a 50 pint dehumidifier.||The mattresses are pillow top and are very comfortable.||The hotel has a beautiful lobby, a great breakfast buffet, an outstanding restaurant with room service, a nice bar/lounge, an outdoor meditation garden, an indoor store with stuff you might've forgotten, valet services, and super friendly and helpful staff. (Example: I had to ship 3 packages in c/o the Front Desk, and I got all three.)||We had a nice German cleaning lady on our floor who hugged us when we left. Like we were her family.||Best of all it's literally walking distance to Rodeo Drive. I know. We walked there, Ubered back.||What's not to love? IDK why anyone would post a negative review. They must be snobs or super picky.||I only have two minor critiques:||1. The TVs are large LGs, but they are not "smart TVs", and I needed to be able to stream Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, etc. I forgot to bring my own FireTV stick, so I bought one and shipped it there next day.||I think one improvement would be to offer streaming as an extra option, where you pay a deposit and a small fee, and they loan you a FireTV stick.||That said, bring your own FireTV or ROKU dongle. It will be January 2024 before they install new smart TVs.||2. One of the elevators has a creaky sliding door with trim that needs some minor repair.||That's it. Really minor stuff.||This hotel is great! Close to everything in Beverly Hills. You can even hop on the Route 7 BigBlueBus and take it to downtown Santa Monica to see the Santa Monica Pier. Which was a blast.||Great restaurants, cafes and delis nearby. Fosters Famous Deli, but the best was a Turkish cafe north of the hotel. Their food was fantastic.||Be aware many nearby restaurants are Jewish-owned, so they close on Friday and Saturday, even Sat. night, which was inconvenient, but that's their Sabbath. So, plan on that.||Finally, you can catch the Hop-On/Hop-Off double-decker tour buses by taking a short Uber ride to the Beverly Hills City Center/Library/Police Station. That's their hub for all their tours. I highly recommend doing this, and it's...
