This review has absolutely nothing to do with the food, and everything to do with the horrible customer service. I went to this particular location on two occasions, and both times, I was extremely disappointed.
The first time I visited this location, it was a Friday night, and as expected, there were a lot of people, but not an overwhelming amount. After I saw a party leaving in the back, I hurried over and sat down while my mom ordered at the counter. The table was disgusting, but I knew the staff would be over to clean it, so it didn't bother me. After my mom sat down, we waited for our food and for someone to come over and clean the table, but no one ever came. The food took about 15 minutes to be delivered and it was only then that the woman asked if we needed the table cleaned, which to me, was a silly question, but we continued to be cordial with the staff. The employee not only did a poor job in cleaning the table, but she also dropped a dirty napkin in our plate of food and pretended like it did happen, and then she walked off.
The second time we ate at this location was for lunch on a Thursday afternoon about a month later. I was with my mom again, and this time, the restaurant was almost empty, maybe with two other guests, and one party was in the process of being served. We grabbed a table towards the front and waited for our food. The table was once again dirty, and with no excuse, as the table had been empty since we had arrived. We ended up having to clean our own table. There were staff members on break and we noticed that the staff members on break were being repeatedly visited by those who were not on break. We got there around 3:30, and as time progressed, more customers began coming in. At around 3:45, I noticed that other guests who had just arrived were being served before us. At 3:50, just as a party of four walked in, my mom asked a worker what the status of our order was. At 4pm, the party of four was served. It was at this point that we decided to leave. The employees refunded us and offered us our food, which had been sitting on the service oven the entire time. We declined the offer and left.
I will not be returning to this location. It obvious that the staff is unorganized and lacks any customer service skills. I work in customer service, and I would be fired if I ever treated a guest the way I was treated the two times I went to this Sharky's location. If you like to be ignored and eat at dirty tables, then this is the place for you, if not, I suggest the Burbank location in the Empire Center, the parking is ridiculous, but the staff is friendly and the...
Read moreI ordered to go chicken quesadilla with nothing, but chicken and cheese. No guacamole or garnish (I have allergies). Easy enough. I paid and left a 20% tip. Went home. No chicken at all. Called and they offered a voucher for next time or I can fix it by bringing the food back which I did. He goes to hand me the new quesadilla and I asked him, "no guacamole or garnish right?" It had everything in the box. He excuses himself to fix it. He hands it to me and I head home. When I get there I see tomatoes and guacamole smeared on my box. I called and asked them if they used the SAME BOX and just emptied the guac with their hands, which he admitted to and apologized. I told them that's unprofessional and unsanitary. I couldn't eat it and I ended up having to go elsewhere for food. I asked for a refund and was told I would have to drive there a third time to get it in person or give them my credit card number OVER THE PHONE. Completely unsafe. So I asked for a refund for the quesadilla, plus my tip, as I shouldn't tip 20% gratuity after I had to make 3 trips. They apologized and offered me a free chicken quesadilla that I couldn't even look at. I declined and told them they could enjoy it. They then refunded me only the quesadilla and not the tip I left them. I asked if they refunded the gratuity, and they asked, "What's a gratuity?" They look at each other and start mumbling something in Spanish, and I just gave up, told them to forget it, and keep the tip and I walked out. I don't know how a simple quesadilla turned into 3 efforts and there was a language barrier, as the manager spoke Spanish and very little English. Been going there for years, and their restaurant was completely dead. On top of it, my order was very easy to understand. I won't ever order for myself...
Read moreGreat food/lousy service. If they get your order correct. I called to say that 2 of the 4 items ordered were missing. I was told that only 1 was missing and that the items were combined leaving us to divy up the orders for the children's lunch. We ordered separate items because children like things the way they like them. So if I ordered 2 orders of tacos- that's 2 separate orders-they shouldn't be put into one container. If they are going to combine orders to save on plastic containers I should have been told. I called to say what had happened and was told that they were in their lunch rush and that they didn't know when they could make good on the order. I said that was basically too bad because now I had 2 children that couldn't have lunch with the other 2 children. They said OK and to come in so I did. I was told I had to pay for the missing items. I said that wasn't right because we had ordered the correct amount of items. Side note: It seemed that the girl (during lunch) was in training and was a little confused. Don't train your people during lunchtime please. I told the clerk that I was not happy to repay for the items missing and that I would in fact post a review on yelp. Within a few minutes I had the order and also the clerk said that I didn't have to pay. I said that it was a shame that I had to mention that I was going to leave a review on yelp to rectify the situation. This is not how you run a business. My father was in the...
