Having recently dined here, I must say that it was a delightful culinary experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I stepped inside. The menu offered a diverse selection of authentic Peruvian dishes, showcasing the rich flavors and vibrant colors that make Peruvian cuisine so unique. The ceviche was particularly outstanding, with its fresh seafood and zesty citrus marinade that perfectly balanced the flavors. The lomo saltado, a classic Peruvian stir-fry, was another highlight of the meal, combining tender beef, sautéed vegetables, and a tantalizing sauce that left me craving for more. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was enjoyable. They provided recommendations, explained the dishes in detail, and were quick to address any requests or concerns I had. The service was prompt, and the waitstaff displayed a good knowledge of the menu. Overall, I would highly recommend this Peruvian restaurant for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience. The authentic flavors, cozy ambiance, and attentive service make it a great choice for both casual dinners and special occasions. With a little more attention to portion sizes, this place would easily earn a perfect 5-star rating. I look forward to returning to sample more of their delicious Peruvian...
Read moreI was craving Peruvian food...Pollo Saltado to be exact and while searching Yelp for eateries nearby I happened upon Takatis Peruvian Chicken Pollo a la Brasa. This place is minutes from my house so I decided to check it out.
The menu here is pretty eclectic. They even had Lomo Burritos which sounds like heaven except I don't eat steak. They are pretty "pricey" if you are looking for dinner under $10. But the Pollo Saltado was about $12.99 plus tax which is pretty standard for this dish. They had take-out so YAY! But they also have a cute little eating area so I will be back to dine in.
Its fast food without the speed. I suggest calling in and picking up if you have the chance. The wait was a little over 20 mins.
I really enjoyed my Pollo Saltado (which is just a Peruvian version of chicken fried rice). It had the standard composition of chicken, onions , tomatoes, rice and fries. It was certainly tasty but not the best I've ever had. Great starter dish for those who never had Peruvian food. The portion size was decent, just enough to get me filled without having any leftovers.
Overall yummy place to go! The food really put me to sleep tho. I am not sure if that's a good or bad thing but once I devoured it I knocked out...
Read moreWe ordered tamales for christmas, we went on their website about 2 weeks ahead and scheduled the order, our card got charged and we received a confirmation, we drove about an hour to get to this place because the reviews were good, and to our dismay, when we got there they did not know anything about our order and the lady said that sometimes that happens that they get orders online but they do not have the dishes in stock (WE ORDER WEEKS IN ADVANCE AND NO ONE CALLED US TO TELL US THEY WOULD NOT HAVE THEM) and she said to get our refund we would have to call the customer support because they use a third party website so we cannot get our money back from them. It has been 6 days since then trying to call, email and get our money back and nothing! It is so infuriating that not only we did not have the food we planned to have on Christmas Eve, now we cannot even get our money back for food THEY DID NOT HAVE! So much for trying to support small businesses...
