Thai Taste Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I don't like to give negative reviews, but sometimes it can’t be helped. If service is important to you, then this place is probably not where you want to go. Two months ago, a group of us went here along with a small quiet service dog (with proper documents). The waitress didn't want to let us in with the dog, but we showed her the legal documents, sat down and proceeded to wait, wait, wait, while others got served. We asked 3 times for the menu but were ignored while others got service. We finally left. She demonstrated a bad mood, terrible attitude and no clue of laws related to service animals. Her attitude was the total opposite of what one would expect from a Thai place… NO smiles here! We gave the place another chance a few days ago (without a dog) and guess who was still there. I'm just SOOO amazed at how stupid some businesses are. I was there to get some take-out that I had ordered over the phone. When I arrived, I realised that I had forgotten to get rice, with is $1. The bill was $15.15. I had $16 in my pocket. I asked the manager, "Can you throw in a small rice if I give you $16?" The answer was, No.

What stupidity! People go back to a restaurant because the food is good AND because they feel good going there. That 15 cent discount would have engendered gratitude, loyalty and a desire to return. I called ahead because I’m a vegetarian so I always want to double check the ingredients, and they were super sweet and accommodating, letting me know which dishes could be altered. I ordered online and it’s fairly priced especially for the portions. I picked it up and it was ready early, food was hot, and the restaurant was really clean and cute. The food was delicious, I got the Pad See Ew with vegetables and tofu, and the veggies were really fresh and tasty (bok choy, carrots, broccoli, cabbage, peppers, celery…).
