The Great Western Steak & Hoagie Co. — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Grew up on this side of town. I, like every local 2 this spot, simply know & refer 2 it as Hoagies. Hands down my favorite cheese burgeraon all of the west side. But what everyone is missing out on here is the double cheesburger! Yes the steak hoagies r exelent but i dont think 2 many people know just exactly how they serve up cheeseburher here, unless ur a local. Please take my advice: next time u come here, or if its ur 1st time, order a single or dbl cheesburger! Best in town 4 years & family owned the whole time. keep doin u Hoagies! The service is good, just a guy, a counter, and a notepad. You order, they write it down, the cook kooks it.

The sandwiches are pretty good. It's not a real Philly style cheese stake, but good none the less. The meet is thin, but not too thing, (it is sometimes a little grisly, but usually not so much). The bread is really good, the cheese is nice and provolone gooy, but I di not dig the tomato sause on the sandwich. If that's your thing, then there you have it, but not for me. The parking lot is miniscule but free.

Growing in Venice- all my family members enjoy this place. It’s an institution for our city. The food quality is great, these old recipes stand the test of time. I miss the Old timers behind the counter. It’s a shame how the service is shawty now. Treating my wife poorly just for asking if the order was ready/ it wasn’t even busy to stress over orders on the line. Customer service positions is not for everybody but, considering you work there- Learn to be professional at your job/ especially to our women. I will Consider this a random incident but I really wish the owners get a handle on the staff training.
