If I could give no star... I would... WHAT A TERRIBLE PLACE! When I called from a near by motel to see if they had vacancy and ask if the rooms are clean, because in a lot of areas around here they aren't, I was scoffed at and hung up on. I decided that maybe it was on account of the mans poor English that it sounded like an attitude, Nope. We decided that for 100 a night it wasn't bad and it was nonsmoking and we rarely have to talk to front desk people or management so why not. Then he tried to deny our stay because we have a service dog (I have a seizure problem). The first night was okay (Granted the walls are like paper and you can hear EVERYTHING). But the second night... we reported a domestic dispute to the front desk... the little man said it he didn't want to handle it... he told my husband what room the fight was in and told him to talk to them, obviously he didn't and the guy asked my husband to stand at the bottom of the stairs in case anything happens and my husband agreed. Well the cowardly little man said "That man at the bottom of the stairs is complaining that you are too loud." Yeah so put my husband at risk; Strike 1... Then when the fighting escalated over a 30 minute time frame we called down and asked the man to call the police, he claimed he did... but they never showed up. He went and knocked on the door instead. apparently the girl told the man they were sleeping... well fighting continued so we asked him if he called and he swore up and down that he did Strike 2 (the cops would have taken more then 15 seconds to be an out of there) He said he called again. Lied again and this time there wasn't even a knock... it is now 5 am, 3 hours into this... Finally they shut up. We attempted to talk to the manager in the morning... assuming he is the manager... and he blatantly called me a liar(strike 3) and said the cops did come, but when I asked to see the camera of the police coming, he said "I don't have to show you anything." (strike 4) He then proceeded to ignore me while i complained and started fiddling with some thing in a drawer. Strike 5) and then he barged in our room without knocking and almost saw a very naked husband... I put a stop payment on this place... SO RUDE and to top it all off He treats the amazing and sweet cleaning staff like slum... "I thought I told you 10 minutes...

But if you don't mind some minor inconvenience and decide to "rough it" for a night or two then the Lincoln inn is for you. And if you're in the mood to party the in suite jacuzzi has you covered. Wifi works, flat screens, fridges, irons and microwaves in every room (every room I've stayed in over three vacations). Close to public transit and across the street from the Golden Arches for some dollar menu action for those of us ballin' on a budget. Complimentary coffee in the lobby every cool Cali morning. Convenient Underground parking garage for free. Avoid parking hassles by bussin it around LA like a real grizzled local and take in the smoggy air. The Lincoln inn is part adventure and part motel. I'll definitely save some $ for souvenirs by opting for more frugal accomodations next time I'm in LaLa land by staying in Venice at the Lincoln Inn. Really, it's...

I decided to stay for month when i was between apartments and almost all the other hotels in the area are 3 times as much. So i stayed for a month and i had a really enjoyable time. I got to know Jen and her awesome family really well, and we are still friends to this day. The place is clean, the doors lock, and wifi is great. Thats all i need. Yes, theres some "colorful characters" but thats Venice, i've lived in Venice for 10 years. Nothing to do with hotel. Venice Beach is just a collection of people from all walks of life. If you're looking for breakfast in bed and a spa treatment, you need to go to Santa Monica, but you'll be paying $600+ a night. The Lincoln Inn was perfect for my needs and i hope it...
