The Porter Junction Cafe — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This place is an oasis in the middle of an urban industrial jungle. You'll get the best service and warm smiles from the staff there. Everything is made and served up with love. Whenever I am in the downtown LA area, I always at least try to swing by and grab a quick bite or coffee. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and you'll forget the busy and loud industrial zone you are in. Love the owners and staff there. It's completely run by a small and loving family. The food is made fresh by the order, and they really treat every customer like family....

There are no transparent pricing on anything… they don’t write prices on their menus- you pay whatever they say the price is. I’ve been here a couple of times due to convenience but have been majorly overcharged for a simple coffee at more than 8 dollars. It’s more expensive than Starbucks. The taste doesn’t justify it. The place is very minimally decorated. The owners are so nice so I wanted to support but I can’t help to think I’m being unfairly charged… never gone back again would rather walk 10 minutes more for another cafe....

Great service! The staff here went out of their way just to make sure that or drinks were just right. The lady asked me if the porter's paradise was good (it was awesome! ) and the guy cleaning up around us (and working the cashier) asked us if the iced cappuccino was just right (it was!). A discovered this place while going to the LAvsWAR art event and are so glad we did. The place is authentically urban (without trying)while being a comfortable...
