I've been a loyal customer of Vincenzo's for many years and have always made a point to support local businesses. I've even recommended this place to family and friends over the years, often dismissing the negative reviews because my own experiences had been positive. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, that's no longer the case.
My girlfriend and I placed an online pickup order, as we often do on Friday nights, and arrived about five minutes before the estimated ready time. One of the employees--who was in the middle of making pizzas--greeted me and mentioned our order would be ready in 7-8 minutes, which was no issue at all. The restaurant was busy, and I completely understood.
However, things changed when the owner walked in. He immediately began scolding his employees in front of everyone, raising his voice and making remarks like, "It's not rocket science." It created an uncomfortable atmosphere for both staff and customers. I genuinely felt bad for the employees who were clearly working hard.
The owner offered me a complimentary soda, which I politely declined. About twenty minutes later, my order was ready--no apology for the delay, just a quick "thank you." While waiting, I also noticed a signed photo on display of a controversial public figure whose values and actions I find deeply offensive. I made a lighthearted comment about it, which unfortunately turned into an unnecessary political back-and-forth initiated by the owner. That exchange confirmed for me that this would be my last visit.
To top it off, the pizza was cold and the wings were average at best. It's disappointing to see a business I've supported for so long lose its way. There are plenty of other great pizza spots in the Valley that I'll be happy to support...
Read moreI accidentally stopped by this pizza place while I was in the area and thought I’d give it a try. Big mistake.
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was off. The customer service was terrible. The person behind the counter — who I believe was the owner — had a bad attitude from the start. No greeting, no smile, just pure irritation like I was bothering him by simply placing an order.
But it gets worse. When I got my pizza and sat down to eat, I found a hair baked into the cheese. Completely unacceptable. I was grossed out and brought it to their attention right away, thinking they would handle it professionally and offer an apology or a refund.
Instead, the owner got defensive, dismissive, and borderline aggressive. He acted like I was trying to scam him or something, and made it very clear that he had no interest in giving me a refund. Not only did he refuse to take accountability, but he also spoke to me in a very rude and condescending way.
At that point, I didn’t even want a replacement pizza. I just wanted my money back and to leave. But getting even that was a struggle. It felt like I was being punished for pointing out something that should never happen in the first place — basic cleanliness and respect for customers.
Needless to say, I will never go back. This place has zero professionalism, poor hygiene, and the kind of service that makes you want to warn everyone you know. If you care about being treated with respect and eating food that’s actually clean — avoid this place at all cosare. If I had a chance to give this place a zero...
Read moreI'm not understanding these positive reviews if it's based on quality. I took a bite of the pizza fresh out of the oven when I got into my car so it was not because I didn't eat it fresh. If Dave portnoy came here, he'd probably give it a 3.2. Honestly taste like a microwave DiGiorno self-rising crust pizza. This is no way a New York style pizza. The crust was thick and doughy and bland (Not thin crispy). The cheese does not taste fresh and it is gummy. And the sauce literally tastes like ragu out of a jar has a ketchup feel. I want to support this local business but honestly it tastes like they don't care about the ingredients. They need to revamp their pizza by starting out with just a good plain cheese. I hope they read this and decide to take action because you're getting competition like Prime and Joe's Pizza that are soon coming to Granada hills/Northridge area that could steal the customers for a good quality pizza. By the way, it was way overpriced for what it was. I paid just over $30 for a plain large cheese pizza. I really hope they decide to change the quality because I would have paid $30 for a great quality pizza, not for this it should be around $23...
