We've been driving by this tiny pizza joint for a few months now and haven't had reason to check it out. Now that we have I'm thinking about all the good pizza's we could have been having! Los Fresnos is a small town with no competitive pizza to keep them on their toes but on their toes they stay. Their crust is made in-house -- I saw them making another batch. It's a bit thick for my tastes -- more on the thickness of Little Ceasar or Pizza Hit but it's tasty, light (but not crispy) and slightly on the bland side. The marinara too struck me as a little bland -- until we added the toppings and then everything was perfect. This wasn't New York and it wasn't Chicago but it was a doggone good pie! We added a large house salad for two which came with garlic breadsticks and the whole thing was more than we needed for two hungry people. Their prices are reasonable, they also do carry-out. I really wished I had ordered larger pizzas so I could have had a great reheated lunch. I rate them 5 num nums! It is a shame they aren't open until midnight. Additionally, reviews blame "the lady" for bad service, dang she seems to be a mom running a small shop with children's toys visible and her husband working the back please give them a break. Read moreI'm from Harlingen, and don't eat pizza all that often at all. But my husband does, and being from Los Fresnos, this is his favorite pie place! We've gotten different pies each occasion, order them ahead of time and are ALWAYS VERY SATISFIED. If we ever have wait for our order, it's usually no more than five minutes. I absolutely love the crust 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I feel they're always cooked to perfection. However since we are making a change in our diet, we're gonna try the cauliflower crust tonight! Which I'm so excited for.
