Angeles Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Fresnos

Service was fast and courteous. The 2 meals we chose were not so much hit or miss, as much as home run or strike out.

Machado plate was excellent. Eggs perfectly done, machacado very flavorful, delicious beans tasty hash browns.

The menudo was the strike out. Way too much chile cascabel and not enough flavoring left it very bitter. The green chile on the side was sliced instead of diced, and even then, not sliced all the way through. Finally, little gray organ of some sort that had no business in the menudo was floating around in there.

Menudo is a hard one to get right. Will have to try other stuff and...

This family group of 27 had so much difficulty finding really good Mexican food in South Padre as we spent an entire week in a really nice Condo, till we drive through Los Fresnos and stopped to order take out food from 'Angeles' as we gassed up at Stripes across the street.

Most of us ordered from there and those that didn't WISHED they had when we shared our delicious tacos!!! Way to go Angeles! Wish we could take y'alls food back with us to San Antonio!!! See Y'all Next...

Didn't even get to eat here. Took my grandmother for her 85th birthday with my family and we wanted to move some tables together. We were yelled at "we don't move tables!" And the lady pulled the table while we were trying to put them back. Not sure why being rude and yelling at your customers was necessary. Needless to say, we left and had a much better experience up the road at Doña Carmen's. Go there instead. Much nicer, better atmosphere, and...
