Boichik Bagels Los Gatos — Restaurant in Los Gatos

I have been going to the Boichik Bagels in Berkeley for many years and was in the area on a Sunday morning and wanted to grab some at the Los Altos location. I had an online gift card that some of the employees had never encountered before and the store manager patiently and kindly showed them all how to charge the gift card. Boichik Bagels has gotten a lot of media coverage, so I was very excited to try it out! I got the classic lox bagel on pumpernickel.

They load up on the cream cheese, which is more cream- than cheese-leaning. It’s right off of 17 so it’s a great place to pick something up for a hike along the coast. Service was very fast and straightforward.

This was the first time I came here and I'm extremely disappointed. They charge you $9.50 for Nova Lox Bagel, plus $3.25 for choosing your bagel which ends up at $12.75. The bagel has no spread, no onion, lettuce or tomato on it, pure dry bagel and a piece of Lox. It was dry like the desert and for $12.75, I will never ever go there again.
