On my most recent visit to a local Denny's, I had the privilege of being served by a remarkable waitress named Brion, whose attentiveness, warmth, and professionalism made an indelible impression.
From the moment we entered the restaurant, it was clear that Brion was the kind of server who stood out, not just in terms of efficiency, but in her approach to customer service. The restaurant was fairly busy, with several tables filled and a line forming at the door, but Brion made sure we felt like we were her only guests. She greeted us with a smile that was not only genuine but also filled with an energy that immediately set the tone for the meal ahead.
A Gracious Welcome
As we were seated, Brion introduced herself with a soft, friendly voice, asking if we had ever dined at Denny's before. Although the answer was yes (who hasn’t experienced a Denny's meal?), her follow-up question revealed a thoughtful approach to her work: "Do you need any recommendations from the menu?" Read moreCame in on 11/11/2023 Veterans day ! Got sat down rather quickly ! Waited over 45 minutes for someone to come and ask what would I be drinking ! So when the waiter came I put in my complete order to simplify things ! Well that took over 30 minutes to come back to me , he brought everything including a mop bucket and mop ! As he was filling my coffee cup , he failed to check the screw on Cap of the coffee and nearly poured coffee all over me luckily I had the sense to slide over to the end of the booth seat to avoid the catastrophe! So then he moved me to another table while he put a wet floor sign down ! As I'm sitting there watching the mood and environment! People were not happy there was a group of 3 that sat down ..and once they saw that he spilled the coffee ...they got up and left which I can't blame them as they saw exactly how terrible the service was ! Next a older Gentleman came in sat in the table where the other group was and from the minute he was seated he was rather annoyed ! Which I get it ...but here is what was very alarming to me as he was placing his order the waiter did nothing but give the gentleman grief it was seriously a terrible thing to see as I was just over hearing what the gentleman was asking for sure he had specifics but that's where customer service comes in to rectify that and try to make it right ! The waiter turned around and got super upset with him and called this older gentleman out ! Basically telling him "sir I have to ask you a ton of questions" and sorry but I can't satisfy you" made the man feel really bad as he started communicating with me ! There was another instance where a lady brought in her dad I'm guessing veteran ..she brought in her own bag of food ...and watching and listening I heard the same waiter tell her she could not eat her own food in the establishment! Which I completely understand that but it was like he embarrassed her in from of a full dining room which I don't think was cool there were other ways to handle that ! Call a manager supervisor are a few suggestions that come to mind so that way! It could have been handled professionally and correctly ! So bottom line is I will no longer go to this establishment in the near future , the service was beyond terrible , the food was not good the overall mood and environment was very disappointing! And it all starts with how customer service is presented! Today what I saw had none of that ! Very poorly ran ! When I walked up to pay the girl asked me how was everything I told her not very good she said sorry about that ! What I also noticed there was a lot of joking around and laughing in the back of the house ...which is fine but you should really have a happy dining room first! The other thing that was disappointing was there were a bunch of tables that had not been cleaned off or wiped off for example I saw one table that had sat there in the same state since I had walked in ! And that was a hour and a half ! I paid the bill but most definitely won't be back anytime in the near future it was just a very very bad experience! Read moreWe visited your Los Lunas, NM location around 7:30pm on 05/28/2018. Absolutely the WORST restaurant experience we have EVER had. Server was good it was her first night on the floor without a trainer. The restaurant had maybe 3 or 4 other tables besides us.
First of all the food was awful the cooks didn't even make our oldest daughters meal at all and it was entered according to the server. Second, I ordered the avocado chicken caesar salad and the cooks sent it out without chicken. Third, we got 2 orders of wings in buffalo sauce and server said she also entered that, the cooks tossed them in bbq sauce and on the second one the buffalo sauce was supposed to be on the side and instead they sent out bbq sauce as well. Fourth, our 3 year old daughters burger was very obviously microwaved and her mashed potatoes were cold like they were just pulled out of a fridge. Fifth, my husbands side of squash was cold and hard like it had sat on the counter all day. Sixth, my sister in laws meat was waaaaayy overcooked and they put fries instead of mashed potatoes like the plate is supposed to come with and she had asked for. When my husband asked for the manager, Samantha, she was nowhere to be found and when she finally did appear out of her office with cell phone in hand, he let her know the issues that we were having and especially #1 our kids food still hadn't come out to her and the server let us know the cook messed up and had to remake them and our youngests burger was very obviously microwaved. She did nothing to fix the issue or go make sure it got sent out correctly or anything. After another 20-30 minutes we said forget it and we left. As we were leaving she just smilled and waved sarcastically and the experienced servers all stood there with her doing the same. I've NEVER in all the times I've been there to that location had a bad experience until tonight. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! To top it all off when we got home our 3 year old puked up the burger before we even got out of the car and then had diarrhea shortly after. My sister in law is also having symptoms of vomiting and diarrhea as well after eating a few bites. I've heard awful things about Colin the General Manager from people who've had similar experiences so instead of contacting him I will be calling corporate first thing tomorrow morning. Obviously they need to start over completely on their Monday night crew because they're too worried about talking to each other and playing on their phones rather than doing their jobs. I feel horrible for our poor server starting off her first day out of training dealing with such horribly behaved coworkers.
