I was so excited when I first tried this place. The food wasn’t amazing, but the customer service was absolutely top-tier—so good that I was ready to come back every week. There was a white guy, about 5’10” with black hair, who gave some of the best service I’ve ever had. I even got his name, but I can’t remember it now. We had a solid conversation, and he actually recommended what was probably the best thing on the menu. Too bad that’s not saying much because, honestly, the food itself wasn’t great. I ordered the chicken sandwich and fries and while they were decent, the service made up for everything.
Because of how good that first experience was, I went back for a second visit, thinking it could become a regular spot. Huge mistake. The food was downright disgusting. I ordered a turkey burger and it was so salty it tasted like metal. Completely inedible. I had to throw it away after one bite. On top of that, the customer service went from amazing to HORRIBLE. The staff had an attitude, rolling their eyes and acting like they didn’t even want to take my order. There was a white girl, REALLY short with long colored hair, who was especially rude. It was like they were mad that customers were even there.
Still, I wanted to believe in this place, so I gave it one last chance. I went back, hoping the second visit was just a bad day. IT WASN’T. They didn’t even have the chicken sandwich anymore and instead tried to push the sliders on me, saying they were better anyway. I ordered them, and they were awful. And that’s when I really noticed how they’re just scamming people at this point. • The chicken was tiny—like, the bun was WAY bigger than the actual piece of chicken. • The fries weren’t even a full serving. • The sauces were half-empty.
I also mentioned how my fries weren’t good last time, and they just brushed it off, saying they had “changed them.” Well, that “change” made them even worse. The portion was small, the fries were barely warm, and everything just felt CHEAP and LAZY!!! The customer service this time wasn’t any better either. It was a tall white woman with long blonde hair, and she had a somewhat bad attitude, like she didn’t care at all.
I don’t know what happened to this place, but they seriously need to get it together. I was ready to be a loyal customer after my first visit, but after the last two times? NEEEEEVER AGAIN. (P.S go to Southern’s down the street...
Read moreI travel to Metairie a lot from Baton Rouge and occasionally love to eat at Atomic Burger. However this time was the first I’ve ever experienced horrible service! I drive up to the drive thru where I had to constantly repeat my order because it didn’t seem like the person taking my order was not listening. She repeats my order and still gets it wrong. Then I pull up to the window and receive my food. On the way out of the drive thru I check My order to see a long piece of hair inside of my food. I go inside of the building to talk to Tiffany the manager who seem to already have had an attitude with customers before me. If I heard correctly she told the lady before me that she can clearly see that they are understaffed. The staff that was there walked pass the line that was in the lobby continuously without a greeting or anything. They weren’t even courteous enough to say they would be right with us. I stopped one of the employees to ask for Tiffany the manger. And Tiffany replied to the employee that she was busy in the kitchen right now! After waiting for Tiffany the manager to finish what she was doing, she came and asked what can she do for me. I explained to her that I had hair in my food and she asked what can she do. I just asked for a refund because I didn’t have to time to explain everything that she could have done as a manger in general. I definitely will not be returning to this establishment not that it matters because Tiffany the manager didn’t seem to care anyway. Customer service should be prioritized in the food industry especially when people are spending their hard...
Read moreDear Atomic Burger Management,
I am writing to express my concern about an incident that occurred at your [insert location or city] location on [insert date]. My mother and I were dining there when we noticed an elderly gentleman who appeared to be disoriented and possibly experiencing early signs of dementia. His pants were wet, and he had his shoes off, clearly looking confused and lost.
Instead of offering him help or compassion, several staff members began laughing and talking about him inappropriately. The man wandered outside and back inside, still visibly confused, yet the employees treated him as if he were a threat rather than someone in need of assistance. I understand that unexpected situations can be challenging, but it was very disappointing to see such a lack of empathy and professionalism.
As someone who works in healthcare with patients who have dementia, I could tell that this man needed patience and understanding — not ridicule. This situation deeply upset me and my mother, as it reflected poorly on the restaurant and its values.
I hope that management will address this with staff through additional training on how to handle situations involving vulnerable adults respectfully and compassionately. No one deserves to be treated without dignity, especially in a public setting.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I’d appreciate a response to confirm this concern has been acknowledged and steps will be taken to prevent similar situations...
