Our whole family including my 5-yr-old got food poisoned after consuming the crabs here. We were seriously sick for two days after, which you never want on your trip. We had a great experience when we shopped there and i thought they worth the high rating but regretted after what have happened after eating the crabs.

When myself and 7 others went in search of mounds of hot boiled crawfish, we followed Google reviews to Captain Sid's. What a surprise to discover this was a market and no seating existed. .... but Mr. Ray S. came to our rescue when he phoned a restaurant a block away... soon after that call, our group was comfortably seated in the Smoke House Grill (not just bbq) and moments later Ray delivered 30 pounds of the finest crawfish to cross my lips. It is my understanding that we were the inaugural table to enjoy the newest collaboration between these 2 fine vendors to supply the NO area with as fine a combo meal as you can get. I was so thrilled with the entire evening that before flying home, we stopped at Sid's again to fill our cooler with another 25# of those scrumptious red morsels. Thank you Ray, due to your quick thinking and southern hospitality we enjoyed the best meal of our entire week, beating out some big name places in the French Quarter.
