I have been to the La Hacienda several times when visiting New Orleans. Food and service was very good then.
This past week, for my Son’s Birthday we had a party of six go to La Hacienda for dinner. The waitress didn’t know if there was white wine on the menu. It was printed right on there. She had to go check three times to see if there was any white wine.
The food took quite some time to be brought to the table. The waitress didn’t have my food on order, so I had to wait for it to be cooked. The food had a different taste then the other times I have eaten there.
It seems the quality of the food has gone down immensely and the service is terrible. My Son had ordered another beer and kept reminding the waitress. She finally replenished it after a few reminders. Then when the bill was presented, she asked my Son how many beers he had had. She couldn’t even remember the amount.
I noted there weren’t many people in there; approximately three booths and our table. I was appalled in regards to the food and service. I won’t be returning to...
Read moreI've eaten here 4 or 5 times, with results of 3 to 4 stars. The spicy burrito is pretty good, tasty. Their guacamole is pretty good too. More recently, I did a take out for a few ítem. Their cesar salad was awesome, with avocado. I had Their enchiladas which are kind of tasty, too. Beans and rice ...average.. Here's what I had a problem with. Their picadillo, or hamburger as the server said, is not good. They use it in tacos, and burritos, and enchiladas and the times I've had it its not good. Here's why: its over salted and underseasoned. Its probably made in bulk and reheated as needed. Looked too dark, and the consistency is mushy. It should have garlic, onion, chili's, and cumin, and you can't taste any of that. Just salt. It's a nice place, friendly servers. More attention needs to be paid to the seasoning of food this is...
Read moreTonight was the worst experience my husband and I have had at this restaurant. We visit often and have always found the food consistent and enjoyable; both when we have ordered in and for pickup. However tonight when we called in our order for pickup the young man taking my order was not courteous. He even went as far as talking about me to other employees when he thought i hung up the phone. When i walked in to pick up my order...well the only way i can explain it...is to say...i felt as though something was up.. when i got home my husband and i found our salsa was watered down so much it was clear and my guacamole was like eating pure salt.. believe me it was not a coincidence. It was all we ordered...chips, salsa and guacamole. Funny it has always been perfect in the past. Tip: dont ask too many questions when...
