Tokyo Sushi House — Restaurant in Marrero

Iam guessing the tall lady that serves is the owner, but she never greets, not a hello, bye, thank you, absolutely nothing..she looks like she sucks lemons each time I go there to eat, but because of the food being good & lunch prices are very fair, and only having 2 bad past experiences where my order was a wonton soup & fried rice didn't taste fresh, neither the fried wonton strips, they weren't crispy, I continued going there to eat. The next time I went to eat there, I mentioned it to her, & her response was.." food is fresh everyday".... & my order this visit, was indeed fresh. I returned another time with my brother & this is the reason why I decided to write a review, the young boy who Iam guessing is her son, quickly placed my food on our table & turned around & walked away, but he placed the wrong order, so she was serving another table, & noticed me trying to get the boys attention, but she answered by saying out loud away from my table...WHAT DO YOU WANT...I thought this was so rude for her to do. Another bad experience that I just had, happened a few weeks ago during lunch time...I arrived before the lunch special ended on a Saturday after I was off from work, & my son asked me to take him some lunch, so the young boy took my order & I told him I needed to order a take out for my son also but wasn't sure yet what to order, so by the time I finished my lunch, I called my son to ask what he wanted & he asked me to read out lunch choices to him, so I asked for a menu, but all of them were eating together at a table & the boy got up & approached my table, so I told him I needed to place my to go other, & he turned around and spoke his language to his people and the rude lady told me that lunch time was over, but I tried telling her that I arrive there way before it was over and I had told the boy that I needed an extra lunch order to go after I was done and knew exactly what to order, but she said NO & I just said oookayyy & certainly I thought that wasn't right to do. I cannot blame the boy for such bad service, because he doesn't know difference, I don't even think he is 15 y/o yet, but he doesn't have any manners either, just like her...no hello, no thank you, no bye...I been to other Asian restaurants and people are very polite...

This is a restaurant I will not visit again. I ordered a sushi lunch. The miso soup was fine. I took one bite of the salad with ginger dressing, and realized that it had orange in the dressing, which I am allergic to. I asked the waitress if there was orange in the salad. At first she said no, then yes. I said " I can't eat that" and set it aside. I did not make a fuss-I just got ready to take benadryl and deal with a migraine. When the sushi came out, it wasn't like I expected it to be. I ordered the spicy sushi box. While I exected roe on the top, two of the three types of sushi in the box did not appear to have the fish they are named after in them. The taste and texture was off. They tasted like salty roe with nothing else in them. At this point , thew waitress rushed over and put a to go box on the table. She said in an unfriendly tone " You're unhappy?" Mind you, I have been minding my business, not saying anything this whole time. I just wanted to get out of there. I did show her that the sushi did not appear to have pieces of tuna or salmon in them, only roe with color added. She slammed the check on the table. i just paid and left. The word "miserable" describes my experience perfectly. Not only did I get awful food, I was yelled at for not liking it. I will never,...

I feel like Ester Rolle on Good Times!!!! Dan, Dan, Da*n!!!! This is how you DO!!! Hot and Sour Soup!!! 🍲🤤🤤🤤🤤 I am tapping my feet in the living room, happy dance... SMDH!!! The mushrooms were so fresh that the were dancing, floating on the underneath of top of the lid....a sign of freshness. The ribbons of egg 🥚 within the soup were beautiful strands not chopped up pieces of eggs. The vinegar and chili 🌶️ were in perfect balance....OMG....!!! The bamboo shoots were whole slices, not chopped up not sure particles within the soup. I am particular when it comes to soup...this soup did not have the wood ear or black fungus. I will tell you, it was noticed but not missed. I have tried the seaweed salad, squid salad, and the shrimp and broccoli lunch special...all very delicious. Today my one purchased shined...try the Hot 🔥...
