McDonald's — Restaurant in Louisiana

Wish I could give ZERO stars. Of the 20+ different McDonald’s restaurants I have been to, this is BY FAR the absolute worst one. And that is truly saying something. I ordered at 12:37pm on 5/23. The guy taking my order was either whispering or their sound equipment just sucks. I legit could hardly hear him. Did my best to make out what he was saying. Told him I wanted a 10 pc nuggets meal. He asked what sauce, so I said BBQ and Sweet & Sour (which they of course got wrong when I got to the window). Finally, I got to the window at 12:45pm (you don’t even want to know how long I was waiting in line just to put my order in, but this part is fine because they were quite busy). Anyways, when I got to the window, the girl was absolutely awful & rude. Acted like she was too good to even talk. Like hello? If customers stop coming here then you won’t have a job. A little respect maybe? So usually my drink is the very first thing they give me, but on this occasion it was not. So I instinctually drove away when I was given my food and everything was in the bag. The girl yells out the window to tell me that I was leaving my drink (good on her part). So, I reverse a little bit to get my drink. She gives it to me. As I’m about to drive off she gives me this disgusting look and says “put your car in DRIVE”. Umm excuse me? Don’t tell me to put my car in drive, obviously I know how to drive or I wouldn’t be sitting here, you know… in the drive thru. You can tell your children what to do, but you don’t talk to me this way. Yes, I forgot my drink. Big deal? That doesn’t mean I forgot how to drive… I definitely do not need you yelling at me. If she put that effort into monitoring what was actually IN the bag, she would’ve noticed whatever the hell was on my chicken nuggets. At first glance, I thought this was just the inside of the chicken, since it was somewhat close to that color. However, I took a much closer look and realized this was a piece of cotton from someone’s clothing. Or at least something very reminiscent to it. Now that is GROSS. Who is doing the hiring at this McDonald’s?! Not only did the girl at the drive thru not have it together, but the person making the food either APPARENTLY. I was absolutely disgusted and couldn’t even eat any of it. I don’t know why my nuggets were given to me in 2 boxes either. One had 4 and the other had 6. Can’t get your employees together, your food, OR your inventory. This is just a McDonald’s for crying out loud. What is so hard??? DO. NOT. EAT. HERE. And if you suffer a major lapse of judgement and still choose to eat here after reading this, well… take a good look at your food before you actually consume anything....

On past occasions I'd driven past two nearer McDonald's to go to this location because of problems getting our orders prepared to our liking. Until one afternoon on Sept. 30, when a manager (presumably) told an obviously novice employee to lie to me about a validation code offer.

Specifically, when you go to the website shown on your receipt and complete a survey, you get a validation code ENTITLING you to a second sandwich of equal or lesser value, free.

When I presented my receipt with the code to the girl at the first window, she stepped away out of sight and returned, telling me the offer was only good for breakfast. But when I replied, "What do you mean?" she stepped away again and returned with another woman who did something at the register and walked away. After which the first person again asked me for the total amount without crediting me the offer.

That's when I told her I didn't want it, and asked for the return of my receipt bearing the code, which, btw, they KEPT. She went away again, and the second woman came back in an apparent huff, punched more stuff on the register, and only then was I given the total they should've given me in the FIRST place.

To which I said, "I don't want it" and asked again for my receipt. "But I 'gave' you the discount," the second woman said. To which I said, "I don't want it because you tried to lie to me." (Or at least told the first person to lie, as if after all that, I'd trust her to make a sandwich...

I ordered from DoorDash and when I got my food I opened my bag and I realized I didn’t get no straw for my drink, my fries were cold and had no salt, I called McDonald’s and told them what was wrong and once the girl had picked up the phone she said and I quote “mm” and hung up the phone, I called once again a boy picked up this time and said hello, I told him my problem, and he kept repeating hello and hung up. I called again and asked for a manager then immediately the phone hung up, then I called again one more time and the phone disconnected, I called three more times to see if it was my phone not working- no they completely shut off the phone to answer no more calls. Absolutely the WORST experience ever. March 14, 2024 & the time was 8:22pm & I received my food at 8:38pm. Safe to say whoever the kids working that night don’t deserve a job & I won’t be...
