I’m actually shocked that I haven’t written any reviews for this place yet, as it’s kind of been a go-to place for my dad and I for a while now. Anytime I come back to New Orleans to visit, you can bet on us coming here at least once during that time.

Obviously my dad enjoys this place, it’s hard enough trying to find a great sea food place in this area, and the reviews online don’t really help either. But, I can say for sure that this is one of the best you can find. Even if you want a steak or chicken, you can still come here and eat some really good food.

On my latest visit, it was my dad, his girlfriend, my wife and her parents (who were visiting New Orleans for the first time, from Brazil). Normally I get one of the fried baskets, but this time I wanted to be adventurous, lol. After bouncing around the menu some and changing what I wanted several times, I locked in my choice of the Blackened Catfish, stuffed with crab meat, pasta with shrimp sauce. Let me say this, growing up in New Orleans and by a lake in Charlotte, I’ve had my share of fish and catfish. This was THE best I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. I ate every last bite, as I wanted to eat it while it was still fresh and didn’t want to lose any of the flavor from reheating it the next day.

Normally, I’d give this place a solid 4 stars, but after experiencing that catfish, I can say for sure they deserve 5 stars now. My wife had the steak and it was cut in-house and was sold as 14 oz, but it looked more to be 16 oz. It was very tasty and would be a great choice for any steak lovers. Her mother had the grilled hickory smoked chicken and it was just as amazing.

Being that I know I’ll be back no matter what, the next time I’m in town, I have a lot more to look forward too. I would recommend this place to any local or visitor without a doubt. You’ll be pleased no matter...

This was the absolutely worst experience never coming to New Orleans i will never be back here. The wait is insane !!!!!!!!! In which i understand restaurants have no control over the amount of business they receive daily however when u have a wait list you should be working from that list & being fair to each customer. Upon entering the Restaurant i was told it would be a 20-30 minute wait in which i agreed to the wait and i knew it could possibly be a longer give or take. I then proceeded to ask the lady who placed me on the wait list was there anywhere to sit inside for the wait due to it being very hot outside she proceeded to tell me yes there is a bench which was close by the bar. Long story short everyone around me and my kids started to be seated so i went back to the host snd asked for my spot in line she asked for my name& then she then told me i was 6th in line .. so i went and continued to wait keeping track of the people being seated then i noticed no one that originally were waiting with me and my kids were no longer waiting & i noticed then new people coming into the restaurant was being seated after talking to the host a third time including the manager i was toldā€ i was skipped over ā€œ or some answered for my name ā€œ in total i waited 2 hours to be seated and 45 minutes to an hour for my food. Me and my kids entire day was waisted at this restaurant. Do not cum here if u are not ready to wait hours just to eat . Oan i was not even given a sorry for any inconvenience i experienced. The food was good but not worth the wait its plenty of places in New Orleans to eat with great food that will not have u waiting like that. Worst first...

On 9/24/2022, was I and relatives from out of town, went here for dinner. It was extremely crowded. We waited 1 1/2 hrs to be seated. Our waiter was the best. The food was horrible. The crayfish rolls were made out of some thick dough, it was chewy and no flavor! The spinach and artichoke dip with fried chips were good. Seafood platter, was awful. The shrimps had too much of batter and fried too hard, the fish, has well has the oysters were not good. It was a horrible experience. The grilled oysters w e r e half done. I myself was so embarrassed because I had recommended this place to my friends from out of town. Everything changed, not for the good either. The best thing about that night was the hurricane drink, and our waiter who was very efficient. We laughed and we talked and we enjoyed his company. I had not been there in 2 years because of the covid-19. I will not be returning there again. So embarrassing for me, because I was the one who was bragging on their food. This will never happen again. I don't know if you have new cooks or something's not right. Just saying we waited so long just to be seated, and have our dinner cold, not taste at all. Well, I guess if I want to go there, I will go on the Westbank. It's such a shame. The prices were on the web for one thing, once we received our menus, the prices were higher. Didn't have a problem with that if the food was great. Maybe someone should taste their own cooking. We also ordered 2 Swamp shrimp pasta dishes, it also wasn't good. The sauce for the this dish...
