The pho here is the best. That being said, I do have to share the most frustrating visit we've had here that is making me lower my rating a star. As my boyfriend put it,

"If this was our first visit, I wouldn't want to come back."

The server (a lady who we've seen work here for as long as we've been here) took our order by memory, which would be fine if she could actually remember it.

We got the wrong drink and late, appetizer came after food AFTER we had to remind her. Our food came without the veggie basket and my boyfriend got a regular pho instead of the combo he order, and he didn't even get the right pho that should have come with his food.

She said he could keep the pho and she'd get his sandwich but it never came. She changed our bill to reflect exactly what we got, which is a little frustrating. I'm not one to fish for free food, but I don't appreciate paying for food we had to eat that we didn't order.

Like my bf said, we would not come back again if this had been our first visit, hands down. Deeply disappointed. Usually the service is just okay - not stellar but never do...

Food comes out so fast! Chrysanthemum tea was delicious and you get a whole huge pot of it...I sat at the counter miserable with my allergies, but Paul (working the counter/register/blended drink area) was friendly and made me feel at home. Left feeling uplifted cuz of the good food and great energy of the place. I live in the city but I'm totally coming here for my Vietnamese food cravings. ALSO: they do that "produce basket" right ! I'm from Houston and always been disappointed with Vietnam restaurants here skimping on the basil and bean sprouts, but his place DOES NOT disappoint. TRUST ME this place has got it goin on! AND you can go next door and buy real deal delicious kimchi next door at the Korean market! AND THEN go get your eyebrows or a manicure done on the other side of Pho NOLA! And then if you want a cool beer there's a bar at the end of the strip mall! Just spend all your time and money over there in that area for real it's like the jewel of Metairie y'all I'm so not...

This place has been here for years. My first ever bubble tea/ milk tea and the best I've had even to this day (I highly recommend the sweet redbean with coconut milk. It tastes just like sweet cereal milk 💕) PhoNola has my favorite pho after trying SEVERAL restaurants, (I always get meatball pho with extra limes), best ever báhn mì, (I LOVE their pate, so rich and flavorful. Bread is PERFECT, crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. I get grilled pork with extra pate/aioli.) And although my fiancé is quite finicky with food, he really enjoys the flavorful fried rice with shrimp, the pan fried dumplings with really yummy dipping sauce, and his favorite are the pork belly steamed rice buns (hold the veggies). I've had a wonderful experience with pleasant and helpful staff and delicious food here for years and would absolutely say PhoNola is the best Vietnamese Restaurant...

I ordered take out here. The service was nice and quick. The food came out super fast. The food looks nice, as you can see in the pics. But lacks flavor in my opinion. Also not authentic flavors. Shrimp and chicken had zero seasoning, just grilled. Bò lúc lắc was mediocre at best. Portions are small compared to other vietnamese restaurants. Overall not bad, but not impressed either. I've eaten here many years ago when they opened and it was pretty good. If you're looking for a quick bite, it's fine. But not if you want authentic & flavorful vietnamese food. Great place, just not for me. It fell short of my expectations of the great flavors vietnamese food has to offer. 3 stars for food and 5 stars for everything else.

Great Vietnamese food, in Louisiana. Yes, it's definitely a thing and this is definitely a spot that's worth checking. Sure there's going to be some dishes that aren't the most traditional, but you can ignore those. Get the pho, a banh mi, and the chicken salad. Don't need to get extra fish sauce, the salad is drenched in it. Don't forget to also top it off with a Viet iced coffee ☕ with condensed milk.

Seriously? I sent my sister in to get a Thai tea. She pays up front. Then the lady gives her this. A half-filled cup. My sister told her it wasn’t filled up to the top, the lady tells her “yeah, we don’t have enough”... Umm what?! How about if you only have that much left, just say you’re out. Don’t cheat your customers over stupid things. Petty. Waste of my hard earned money. Never again.
