5216 Table & Tap — Restaurant in Louisiana

First went in and was excited that it was no longer the swamp room, looks amazing, bright and fresh. From there the experience went downhill. We sat down and waited for maybe 5 minutes or a bit more before we got menus. We then tried to get the attention of every passing server for what I would say was again 5 minutes to no avail, we finally grabbed someone who nodded and then walked on. After another few minutes someone finally came to take our order, she took our drink order and I ordered a dessert. The drinks came promptly but the dessert took forever, I had to eventually go to the bar (we had not seen our server since getting drinks) and the bartender (although our server was standing right next to her) confirmed the order and went to check on it. When the dessert came out the gentleman who brought it said to me do you need 3 more spoons or are you planning to eat all of this, it was not extremely large, to which I replied, all mine, thanks. The bartender was excellent, personable, came to check on us, and brought more drinks when they were ordered. Overall the bartender saved the night, I would go again just with the hopes that they clone her and service gets better. P.s. it was busy, I will allow them that but it was not busy, the booth behind us never filled with people and there were empty bar stools, but perhaps they did not anticipate the crowd that they had for a Monday night, all be it the Monday...

Last night was my first time visiting this establishment so I was impressed by the ambiance but the service was abhorrent and discriminatory!!! My friends had arrived before I had when the crowd was light, they were being served at that time but once it got crowded the bartender decided she only wanted to wait on men!! At one point the bartender was standing idle, my friend was able to ask if she was taking drink orders, she replied, yes and walked away!!! When my girlfriend attempted several times to get her attention she found that threatening and called over security!! After more attempts (mind you she took drink orders from three men NEXT to me in the midsts of these attempts) she told my friend if you can’t wait find another bartender, when my friend dismissed her with the ok, bye!, she directed for security to escort us out!!!! We all left as not to cause a scene but found this whole experience demeaning!! The attitude of the bartender was both pretentious and pompous!!! I will not be returning!!! I wish I had gotten her...

Went to Table and Tap linking for somewhere different to go to and because we like the menus which we had looked up in line (we were looking for appetizer and cocktails) Well first we walked in and were immediately welcome by the guys at the door, the place looks and smells clean and it is beautiful and comfortable. We weren’t sure off there was table service or if we had to order at the bar (order at the bar because it was busy). Bartenders were wonderful, friendly and prompt; I ordered pain killers (they were delicious) we got our food working 10 mins if not less. Food was also outstanding. As the night went by there were more people coming in, music got louder , and the atmosphere got even better. Me and my husband are in our 40’s and 50’s. The crowd was mixed but there were more people in their 20’ 30’s. Bottom line, our overall experience was outstanding al the way around. Food is a little price but, hey you get for what you pay:)) Can’t wait to try their brunch and see ladies...
