SANITIZER IN MY SANDWICH - INCREASED PRICES - EMPLOYEES ARE MISERABLE AND RUDE, AND INAPPROPRIATE !
I am no Karen, i rarely write reviews unless i feel they genuinely need to be said. I absolutely LOVE subway. I get it all the time, and for the most part iām left with a pretty impressionable experience with my sandwich. I ended up going to this location which I believe is privately owned and was left with an awful taste in my mouth, literally. I am not joking when I say that my sandwich tasted like literal sanitizer. I watched the employee who appeared very miserable splash it on my sandwich carelessly before cutting my sandwich in half and not even paying attention to me. Also I was waiting patiently while the employees argued with one another about bread just for my sandwich to be made. Not to mention, the store charges more than average subways - i ended up spending $35 on two meals and was absolutely shocked considering how many subways iāve gone to and spent only $28-$31 for the same meal with large drinks instead of medium. I believe it was the sole fact i ended up spending more money on a sandwich that had sanitizer on it, tasted disgusting, and an awful 15 minute experience that upsets me so much. I called the store myself and the employee said the same thing. The app wouldnāt allow me to cancel myself so I asked her to cancel it. She said she would. The delivery driver waited there for it to be cancelled. After 10 minutes the delivery driver was still waiting. So the delivery was through DoorDash so I called them myself. They cancelled it and said that subway would handle refund since I ordered through the subway app. I had a strange text from a new number and decided to message it back the next day. Turns out it was the subway employee. They gave cash to the delivery driver for my refund. I told her that was absolutely unacceptable when I paid with a card. The manager reached out to me and agreed and stated she would sort it out and get me my refund and a courtesy meal for my troubles. Even when items are "fresh", [i.e. not molded or smushy] they are just... I don't even know what to call it. Severely mass produced, likely. I can't even eat McDonald's whatsoever anymore for this reason. It's a crying shame, the things that the American FDA ALLOWS[āļø] companies... KNOWINGLY[āļø]... to feed us. Things that are ACTUAL CHEMICALS. KNOWN carcinogens... but some have a surgeon generals sticker so its fine right? Sickening.
