Until a recent somewhat accidental visit to Bubbakoo's Burritos, the only thing I knew about them was what I'd seen in reviews. So it happened that one Saturday afternoon we were driving long the Gene Snyder, needed lunch, and saw the Bubbakoo's sign on the side of the road. A few exclamation points later (Me: OOHH! Wifey: WHAT??! Me: Bubbakoo's! I've been wanting to try them!! Wifey: What kind of food is it? Me: BURRITOS!!! Wifey: Let's go!!!!) and we were walking in the door.
Bubbakoo's is similar to a number of Mexican fast-casuals in that you add your ingredients as your food is prepared. Think Moe's or QDoba or Chipotle and you get the idea...but with a larger variety of items to choose from.
Being a Saturday afternoon the place was pretty quiet. We were perusing the menu when a gentleman (who turned out to be one of the owners) came out behind the counter to greet us. We told him this was our first visit and he offered to help guide us. At one point he went back behind the counter and gave us samples of a few things to help us make our decisions.
(Fair warning: One of the sauces he had me sample is hot. And by "hot" I mean "HOT". And by "HOT" I mean "H A W T ! ! That heat stayed with me for probably over an hour)
After we got out food and were sitting down Owner Guy (whose name we never got) came to check on us. We told him everything was EXCELLENT and that I loved the variety of food items he offered. He offered use some deep fried cauliflower and it was outstanding! He brought us some Love Chips (which sounds almost dirty) as a dessert item with 3 different sauces and they were amazingly awesome as well.
Throughout the remainder of our visit Owner Guy visited to chat and check how things were. He was very pleasant and wanted to make sure things were great (They were!). The rest of the staff was busy stocking the line and making sure the place was clean and tidy.
I'm glad we finally got to visit Bubbakoo's. While I had no expectations, it was an excellent experience and one I look forward to...
Read moreBeing a business owner, I advise strongly avoiding this establishment. My girlfriend will do doordashing on the side, because she likes driving and getting out. I needed to go to the mall so went with her. We pulled up to the window where we were not acknowledged whatsoever because phones were more important than customers. So we wait and she decides to just go in. I watch as whom I’m assuming is the manager stays on his phone the whole time still no cares in the world. Call the store to express my issues where I was then given a false name by him and also hung up on by him. GREAT WAY TO RUN AN ESTABLISHMENT CARING MORE ABOUT YOUR PHONE THAN CUSTOMERS AND THEN HANGING UP ON CUSTOMERS BECAUSE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SOMEONE TELLING YOU TAKE YOUR JOB MORE SERIOUSLY AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR PEOPLE. Never will I order from this place. Never will spread the word in a positive way. Let’s break it into stars formation. Customer service 0. Attentiveness 0. Professionalism 0. Rudeness 5 stars all day. Taking job seriously 0. Acknowledged concerns and showing effort of caring 0. Phone usage being most important 5 stars all day. Awareness 0. Falsifying name, come on, if you feel the need to falsify your name, you know there’s a problem within YOUR conduct and character. My clients have a problem ever with anything I do, it is addressed promptly and definitely will never hang up on a customer/client! Ethics, morals, values, respect, professionalism big 0. If it let me give a zero, I most certainly would! Also called corporate who still has not cared enough to return my call so maybe they run their business based off taking your money with no cares and no desire to make things right. Just “get over it and move...
Read moreIn the past I have had a great experience at this restaurant. Since new owners it has declined and tonight really made my mind up. My daughter and I went in around 815pm. The man that took our order already had gloves on and was moving food around. We ordered our food and while we were waiting I used the restroom. It was like walking into a gas station bathroom. The toilet seat had pee all over it. Pee on the floor. My shoes were sticking to the floor as I walked. When I came back out telling my daughter about the bathroom she thought maybe the guy was working by himself and didn’t have time to clean yet. Wrong. Here comes another employee from the back, cell phone in his hand and wearing a pair of sandles with no socks and posted up on the prep table. Noticing that I look at the man that is making our food and here he is with a pair of crocs and no socks. At this point we are ready to check out and I asked for a small side of queso. This little cup of queso was $5. I love Bubbakoos food but not comfortable going back to a dirty, price...
