Con Huevos! — Restaurant in Louisville

It is a rarified thing for me to give any business 5 Stars, across the board, in every category...Especially a restaurant.

But after my first meal experience at Con Huevos in Norton Commons, that's Exactly what I'm doing with my integrity intact!!

The bright, open, airy space with art-filled walls greets you with warm, bright lighting and smiling staff. The service was immediate and thorough and so welcoming that I physically smiled about it as our server took our orders back to the kitchen.

I ordered from the Chef's Specials menu and the food came back piping hot, absolutely perfectly cooked over easy eggs, which is no small thing, and plated artistically for my visual pleasure. But then, the flavors...wow. everything was exactly the way I was hoping it would be, and my taste buds emphatically agreed!

I could keep going with things like my coffee cup was continously filled without me needing to search for my server, the lighting helped me continue waking up and the murals kept my eyes busy finding all the new fun images in every corner of the space.

If you love breakfast and bright energizing environments with exceptionally prepared food, then Con Huevos should be at the top of your 'Must Try Soon'...

So we have been coming to this location for quite some time and everything has always been great. Past two visits not so much. I bring my daughter here because she loves the pancakes and sometimes I just have a coffee because I’m not ready to break my fast. Today we were seated in a dirty booth it wasn’t filthy but not cleaned well, after the server took our order she disappeared. We waited over 30 minutes for pancakes because our server was sitting in a booth eating her own meal, no drink refills no is everything ok no pancakes. The tres leches had died in the window and didn’t taste good anymore. The manager took the pancakes off the check. I paid and left a very good tip for very poor service. Neither me nor my daughter wish to return. I’m sure this isn’t the norm but for what they charge this is a...

I’m a big fan of Con Huevos and this was the first time I’ve visited the Norton Commons location. I placed a takeout order the night before and arrived to pick it up. My order didn’t show up because I arrived too early, but they went ahead and had the kitchen start my order. Since it wasn’t busy, I asked if we could eat at the restaurant, and they said no problem! (I normally don’t do this and don’t advocate anyone else doing this. I was up early for an appointment that ended earlier than planned, and I was hungry by that point!)

We had great customer service throughout, with people stopping by to check on us. Everyone we encountered was friendly. Definitely recommend this location (or any other one)! It does get busy so plan ahead and either arrive before the busy times or plan to...
