This place warmed my NY pizza deprived heart. We walked in and my nose said THIS is the place! Let's get started. Salads aren't hard to make well but are easy to ruin. This one was perfect. All ingredients were crispy and garden fresh. Just what it needed to be to set the mood. On to the pepperoni knots. Warm, soft, Delicious! The shallow bath of garlic butter and parmesan was enough to make a meal by itself. We had to stop at half of the order if we planned on having room for the pizza. I'm glad we did. The dough was thin and soft with the perfect amount of plyability to fold as required when eating a slice of NY pie. The sauce brought me back to Jersey in my Aunt Vita's kitchen. Homemade and delicious. The crunch and chew of the crust let you know this place was legit. We ordered the 'Piggo' pizza. Sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs. Too much meat? NEVER! Everything blended wonderfully and made this place a MUST suggest and worth the drive from Chicagoland alone. Well done, O.S.N.Y.P....

The tables on either side of us had people sitting and were receiving service. It was quite obvious we hadnโt been waited on. I finally went and asked if someone could come. They brought both my husband and daughters food, and said mine would be a few minutes longer. My husband and daughter were able to each completely finish their pizza and mine still hadnโt arrived. The server asked, did you pizza still not come, to which I stated it had not. He went to check, and said it would be 3-4 more minutes. Finally I said just bring me a box please bc my husband and daughter have already finished. Still sitting here waiting for them to run my card. Absolute horrible service. Wonโt come back. First...
ย ย ย Read moreI love Old School, NY Pizza!
I enjoy their lunchtime special options and usually go with the slice of pizza, salad, and a drink, which is what I opted for on my visit today. They have all the basic offerings (i.e., pepperoni, sausage, cheese, and several specialty options). My favorite is the "Brooklyn," which is their version of a Supreme pizza at other places.
I also got one of their combo options to enjoy later: two slices of pizza and a drink. You can't beat the freshness or taste of the pizza and salads, and the lunch specials are all under $10!
There's a great pizzeria atmosphere at the Norton's Commons location, but I typically go to their location on Old Lagrange Road. The staff at both...
