If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Me and 5 of my friends came to this place a few days ago, excited to try a new restaurant. The restaurant looked cozy and inviting upon first appearance. The staff told us that they were booked up, so we put our name on the list and they informed us to come back in 25 minutes. We walked around outside to kill time for our 25-minute wait (mind you, there was nowhere to sit and wait inside the restaurant and it was super cold outside this day). We came back after 25 minutes to be informed that we were going to have to wait another 30-40 minutes. We stood by and watched people who came after us getting seated, and watched how diligent the hostess was about walking inside the nearby coffee shops and boutiques to find people who were on the wait-list. When we went inside to ask why other people were getting seated and not us, they told us that they could only put us at the table at the end--and that that was the only table they allowed to be combined with another to accommodate large parties. We asked whose rule that was and why they couldn't push any of the other tables together for us, and they stated "We just can't". That rule is absolutely a load of BS because I am sure they have had multiple large parties at once and have not allowed one "sole" table to be the "large party table" or groups would be waiting for hours. At this point, we had waited for an hour, and the party of 2 that just got sat at "our table" had not even ordered their food yet. We expressed that we had been waiting for a long time to the hostess, and about 5 minutes later the chef (or owner?) came outside yelling, fuming, angry and belligerent and told us that "we were harassing his hostess and if she told us that we were going to have to wait then we were just going to have to wait". He walked back inside slamming the door after I asked him why he had an attitude and was so rude with us. The customer service as this place is TERRIBLE, the friendliness of the staff is HORRENDOUS. Had we seen the appearance of the chef/owner before we came here, we wouldn't have cared to eat here in the first place. He came outside with his zipper undone, looked like he rolled his clothes in a pile of mud, and just looked like he had not bathed himself. He looked GRUNGY and absolutely filthy. That compared with the rude customer service was enough to make all 6 of us decide that we would never give this place a single penny. I'm not sure if this was a race thing because my group was full of people of color, but upon reading the other Google and YELP reviews, it appears that it may be due to...
Read moreSo this morning the wife and I decided to try something new. So we went to Eggs Over Frankfort. So off the start we walked in (never being there before we were unaware of the "seat yourself because the staff doesn't care attitude") so we stand in the doorway for a minute until one of the staff yells from across the restaurant "sit anywhere." So we sit down and wait. About 5 minutes goes by finally a server comes over and we order our drinks. From then on it gets even worse. Multiple other came in sat down, ordered their food, our server never came back. At least 15 minutes goes by and finally a different server than the one who gave us our drinks comes over to get our order. Not friendly at all, never introduced herself just a "do you know what you want?" I order the "everything" that comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, side, and french toast. I asked if I could substitute another alive of french toast for a side (in the 20+ minutes of being their without service I was able to see that the sides range from $2.5 - $3 per. The French toast is $2.75 so I don't see why it would be a problem) the server ( Sara B with circa '98 Justin Timberlake bleached noodle hair) responded with attitude "for $1.50 more" "I don't understand, according to the menu, they are about the same price" so she huffed and puffed and looked at me and said "ok, I'll charge you .25 cents" "that's fine" took my wife's order and walked away. That was the last time we she came to our table other than to drop the bill off with just a "no rush" never checked to make sure the food was good, never refilled out drinks, never came back but sure went to all the tables around us at least 3-4 times and would just walk past us while staring straight ahead to avoid contact. As for the food... It was ok, just eggs bacon and sausage nothing amazing to bring me back. The French toast.... The bane of our servers hatred towards us... Was soggy and flavorless. Very disappointed, not worth the extra charge at all. We will never be back. We should have read the reviews and seen that customer service is their Achilles's heel. Next time we will go to Highland Morning St. Matthews like we...
Read moreWe ordered burgers. I ordered a Patty Melt with chips for the price I should have been given a option since they was out of Rye Bread (no one gave option) and placed it on sourdough bread. I kindly let the waitress Emma know I don't eat sourdough & missing the chips. So she snatched the box out of my hand and the host girl sad oh calm down don't bring this hostility to us by the look of your face. 1st of all I asked what was the young ladies name. This immature Host lady kept escalating the situation and Yes I corrected her right then and there. Don't assume I'm hostile by my surprise look. So I say your Stereotyping me cause of my expressions or the color. Really!!! She went on to o say you dont have to come here to eat!! I told her Ive been coming here for years probably lot longer you been working here!! So a older lady that stands in as manager stepped in by overhearing the conversation. I was not loud I was not rude. Manager heard me out all I was gonna tell the order taker Emma just hand me the 2pc wheat bread. And also expressed customer service skills needs to be taught to the host that took the situation as hostility. I'm paying 15.00 for a burger I have every right to speak up if it's not made right and the way waitress Emma snatched the box out of my hand rudely. Best believe I'll be back and definitely will not accept any disrespectful customer service. The manager apologized. However secret shopping you never know!! Teach customer service etiquette. I will also be reaching out to the owners after years of coming here since grand opening in 2014 never experienced unacceptable customer service until today! **Be aware of rude Host with Curly hair...
