I really wanted to like this restaurant. There was such high praise from our local friends but even they saw that something was off this evening. We started off having to ask for additional menus so that each of us (party of 4) had our own. We ordered and were served drinks promptly (great selection of beverages btw) but after drinks our waitress seemed to have forgotten us, and this is where the comedy of errors began. Eventually, maybe 20 minutes passed, our waitress came back to take our order and was shocked that we hadn't ordered yet. We ordered apps and entries at the time, seeing as we were forgotten about once already. After apps, we awaited our entrees, 20 minutes or so passed, could have been longer, we were visually trapped by the Top fails of 2022 of all time on the TV. Our meals were brought to the table separately, almost 10 minutes between each and because we are polite we kindly waited for everyone to be served before eating. Other servers come and go, it looks like the restaurant is getting busy but after 30 minutes, we all had our orders, the last entree being a salad... All the food was great, but by the time the last order came to the table, some of our food was already cold. Because we are glutton for punishment we ordered a second round of drinks. One non alcoholic beer in a can and the other, 5% amber that is on tap from a local brewery. We received two cans, only wanting one, and I'm still waiting for the second beer. As we were wrapping up and trying to get our checks (which also took awhile but less than 20 min) something from behind the patio bar started leaking. The puddle that was forming from under the bar was now headed right for our table. We didn't know, of course, and neither did the staff, until my friend's dress started soaking it up in her dress. We handed our paid receipts to the server and left. I don't think the dress is ruined but I'm really glad we weren't going anywhere afterwards. . So I could have written that our experience was "Not Good" but I don't think that is a through enough. Again, the food was great, maybe the experience is different/better on a week night. Oh and the garlic butter sauce...

The restaurant atmosphere is incredible. The restaurant has nice brick walls, and the tables feel solid and firm. The color aesthetic that you see as soon as you walk in the building gives a feeling of comfortable luxury.
Pizzas are great. Crusts are made phenomenally. Compared to regular fast food pizza such as Dominos or Papa Johns, it is thinner on average but packed with flavor. They don't cheap out with what goes on their crust, packing it full of seasoning and garlic which is a nice palette cleanser after the main slice. Ingredients are generously used as well. Overall, the pizzas here are great value and great taste.
Appetizers are also done well, my favorite being the pepperoni bombs and smoked wings. I would recommend getting 6 wings and pepperoni bombs whenever possible. The wings have a smoky flavor which is combined with a creamy ranch that compliments it well. As for pepperoni bombs, they are a $10 bundle of joy, coming with garlic butter and their signature seasoned crust, which is a party for anyone's taste buds.
Staff are amazing as well, and are accommodating even if you have had an accident with pizza after it has gone past building walls. One incident I had was when my cat knocked the box off of the table, resulting in the pizza spilling on the ground. I gave Parlour a call, and they immediately offered to replace my pizza without a hassle.
Parlour on Frankfort Ave is managed well and staffed by people who care. Eating here is a great experience and well...
Read moreI used to visit the Parlour on a fairly regular basis and never had a problem until recently... One evening I was on Frankfort ave riding a scooter. Unexpectedly, it started storming with pouring rain. I ducked into the Parlour, figuring I would just get a drink and wait out the storm. Ordered a soda, tipped $1 on top of the $2.50 price. Fortunately, I happened to have an extra shirt with me, so I decided to go to the bathroom and change out of my wet shirt. As I finished going to the bathroom and changing my shirt, the bar tender Jeremy entered the bathroom and said that I had to leave. When I returned to my drink at the bar, I explained to Jeremy that I was changing out of my wet shirt and didn't understand what the problem was. He said that the bathroom wasn't for changing clothes and I had to go. I asked for a manager. He said he was the manager. I asked if I could wait until the rain ended. The answer was no. I asked for a refund for the soda. No. Finally, I got my scooter, scratched my head and went back into the rain. Hopefully someone can explain this incredibly rude behavior exhibited by the bartender/manager at the Parlour on...
