Golden Star — Restaurant in Louisville

This is kind of a weird spot. Looking in, you would think they are remodeling as there are 2 tables, and the rest of the dining area is completely open. Nothing to do with anything it just looked weird upon walking in.

I ordered coconut chicken, 2 pork egg rolls, an order of crab Rangoon, and a small chicken fried rice. For the price, this place is amazing. It was around 30 dollars, but the chicken is a huge portion, and it came with what appears to be a pound of chicken fried rice. The crab Rangoon were delicious, and the pork egg roll was decent. Egg rolls could have probably used about another minute in the fryer. The coconut chicken isn't on the menu from what I saw, and it's one of my favorite Chinese food items. It's nice to find a place that actually sells it.

The parking situation isn't ideal. Maybe there is more parking in the back and I just wasn't paying attention, but the front lot is small, and it's right on Taylor.

I love this place for two reasons, The first reason is it's a family owned and ran establishment, I see the couple put their kids to work, and other family members, and I also see that they sit down once per shift I think, and have a traditional Chinese meal together. And the second reason I like this place is because the food is delicious, they're always friendly staff, that have no problem recommending a delicious dish. My favorite Chinese place in the whole South, and everything is always fresh, they are crushing other local establishments in taste, and cleanliness. Never had a problem here they are good people with wonderful customer service! I love the food and their prices, I advise people to go try it for themselves. The whole family is hard working and the older female who I assume is the mother is very kind. Only thing I would want to change is their dine in the tables are old and chairs old they just need a makeover as far as inside decor goes but on the same note you must remember some idiot crashed into their residence.
