Tickled Pink is only the very best antique/vintage mall in Kentucky, most likely ranks in the top ten anywhere in the country. Why you ask? Foremost, because the stock is always FRESH. How's that? Because the prices are so low, the merchandise so awesome, week after week, everything in the place is SOLD. Tony and his close-knit group of friendors (vendor friends) close shop Friday and Saturday and go off to far flung corners to estate sales and buy the lot of it. They then work tirelessly through the night Saturday so come Sunday morning the shelves and nooks and crannies of this three story old house near Churchill Downs is brimming with antiques and vintage goods and curiosities and collectables. Out back in the "rough room" if you're don't tarry, you'll find anything from a primitive (and highly prized) "farmers table" or vintage steamer trunks or little red wagons, most always priced at $100 or below. There is truly always, always, always something wonderful to discover, something that will bring back the good old days. Read moreI had never heard of this place until 3 years ago when my fiance and i were driving around trying to find unique stores we have never been to before. We saw this what we thought was a house having a yard sale with alot of stuff on the front lawn. We decided to pull over and check it out, low and behold it was a store ( a mix between an antique shop and a unique store). We decided to go in and look around, And they got some really nice and cool things. I will admit somethings they are a little pricey on for my taste ( but take in to account alot of thier stuff if old and unique). The man sitting behind the desk pricing stuff was really nice to us, Greeted us with a big " well hello there how you doing" ever since then we have gone back at least 10 times a month. That said man just so happens to be one of the coolest guys ever. and everytime we walk in the door he is nice, and kind and goofy as all i can be. I love this place and would tell any one and every one who wants to go to a store like...
Read moreI honestly don't think Ive ever been to a cooler thrift, or met cooler owner than this place. This Review is a dramatically re-enacted, factual representation of every time I go there. Ahem The alternate universe you step into here. If you leave disappointed, it is 100% your fault. It is impossible. I have found a baby Shark in a jar here ($10), plastic appraiser wrapped Rolling Stones Mags ($5 for 5). An almost unlimited supply of other random thing I collect. If this gem doesn't have what you collect, pretty much nowhere will. Side Note tho: And I mean this EXTREMELY politely. Discovering how things are valued there make my brain almost explode from happiness. Was just scrolling their page and sent this, loving, update to a friend.- "Mint condition He-man cake pan? Eh. Throw 2.50 on it? Idk that cartoon was dumb. Look at these money makers tho!! Plastic dollars store dinosaurs!?!? Throw three in a zippy!! $8.99 is a STEAL!" Please never change a single thing...
