Graeter's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Louisville

I dont think we will visit this location again even though it is the most convenient for us because it is so close to home. Ice cream is always good. However customer service isn't always good. In particular the visit I had at greaters today. My husbdand and I wanted to stop for ice-cream on our way home. We got in line, and was rushed to order (as we always are it seems like), when one of the workers whose name is Nick asked us for our order. My hispanic husband, who speaks perfect English orders a sundae. I am aware they offer a variety of sundaes However, instead of explaining or asking what kind of Sundae, he stands there and STARES at my husband with out saying anything, and giving him a "if looks could kill" look. After the silence and the staring, I then stepped up and said a traditional sundae. He continued to very snarky and have a horrible very hard tone with us. I dont appreciate this type of service at all, and it definitely made my husband feel bad even tho he didnt do anything wrong but felt like he wasn't wanted here and his business wasn't appreciated here.

It is their job to assist customers and explain questions about orders if they have them, not just sit there and stare with out saying a word, being just rude and snarky instead of helpful. I shouldn't be the one explaining my husband the sundaes and the ways they can make them or to build your own, that should be done by the workers with ease as it is their job. I understand everyone is human, but his attitude was the worst and made my husband feel as if he was wrong for asking for a sundae!

First of all I LOVE Graters and we go there a lot. We go to a couple different locations in Louisville. I’ve always felt their single scoop portion is kinda small and pricey but it’s so good that it’s worth it. However on Sunday my husband and i went and each got a single scoop from the same employee and it was ridiculously small!! We are talking the size of a golf ball sitting on a sugar cone. I don’t know why I didn’t speak up but I wish I did. I should have asked if this is a single scoop what does your kids scoop look like?! We left with our cones and were shocked at having paid so much money for so little icecream. This happened to me once at another location and I did say something and they were nice about it but seriously they need some consistency in their portions and honestly in general any other icecream shop gives you a bigger single scoop. Simply incredible ice cream, but I've given up on this particular store. I'm willing to pay the premium prices because the product is fantastic. I'm NOT willing to receive golf ball size scoops and hand over $5.75. The "rewards" program has turned into a joke as well, and the Graeters website just doesn't work, so no feedback and no rewards. That's fine, since I will be going to the grocery for pints in the future or visiting stores that still really dish it out like...
