Disappointing - I came here because I heard the salads are huge (no longer true, on new menu - see pics) and I looked up the menu in advance to decide what I wanted. When my friend and I arrived, it turns out they have changed the menu, and the salad I was interested in ("Members Only") is no longer available.

No big deal, I ordered the "What About Cobb," and so did my friend. I asked for an extra hard-boiled egg, substitute Caesar dressing for balsamic. My friend asked to substitute blue cheese for balsamic, add artichokes, add kalamata olives.

I'm trans, and the person taking our order misgendered me. It was an honest mistake and when I gently corrected him, he apologized right away - no harm done. I mention this as a positive thing. Ideally, gendered terms such as "sir" and "ma'am" should be avoided altogether unless you happen to know someone's pronouns, but if you get it wrong, quickly correcting yourself and moving on is the right way to handle it, which he did. Thanks.

The person taking my order did also use the cross-gendered variation of my name ("Daniel") vs what I said my name was (Danielle) in entering the order, although Danielle appears on my credit card. But, again, I think that was also an honest mistake, of just mishearing me, and I'm not concerned about it.

When they called out "Daniel," I went to pick up our salads, but only one was ready. I said that we had actually ordered two salads, and the person boxing them up said, "Oh, sorry about that. We'll make it right now."

Once we got both salads, I realized that they had forgotten to put croutons on both of our salads. I brought mine back up and kindly mentioned it, and they happily added croutons and said sorry about that. When I sat back down, I realized they had also forgotten the avocado, but I didn't feel like going back up once again, so I just didn't bother. My friend's salad, also, was missing the avocado, but she didn't want to bother going up for it, either.

This was my first time at any Green District location, but my friend has been to the St Matthews one before, and said that these salads from today are MUCH smaller than the ones she's gotten at the other location previously, in large, deep, round bowls. They now offer shallow, rectangle to-go boxes that are 1/3 the size. These are frankly small portions, I would not consider this even remotely a decent value for $12 + tip. See pic, with sunglasses for scale, compared to their old portions. I moved to Louisville from NYC, and this would be considered a poor value for what you get in NYC, where everything costs twice what it should. Considering the input costs of produce such as lettuce is really quite low, the small portions really don't add up.

Service was quick and friendly, ingredients were fresh and dressings are made in-house. Restaurant was clean and well-staffed.

If the portions were bigger, it would get 3 stars. If the orders were accurate, it would get 4. If the portions were bigger and the orders were accurate, it would get 5.

I tipped 25%, but I doubt I'll be back. With tax & tip, we each paid just over $16 (!) for incorrect orders.

Thanks...

I had the most horrible experience here, the white server Annabelle spoke to me horribly. I wanted a refund because the salad place wasn’t the original place I expected it to be. I ordered but before they begin making my food I changed my mind and ask for a refund. Annabelle was rude and ask me could I not afford the food. This was very offensive and degrading. My interaction gave me the impression we are not welcome at this location. I explained my mistake in coming here and said I had thought it was another salad bar. That wasn’t good enough for her and she started in on me. After working on corporate all day and the stresses of the office, no one wants to come to a restaurant and be treated in a demeaning manner. I never got my refund because the manager had a code he doesn’t entrust to the employees for instances sick such as these. I’m not sure if they are stealing or just untrustworthy but how I was spoke to told me they are use to speaking to a certain demographic of people in this manner. Salmon was just sitting on the counter not in a cool area but they had time to surround me wanted my money back. One worker was nice that was present but Annabelle has a sense of superiority to the patrons and the residents of...

I ordered a build your own salad today via Door Dash and some of the ingredients were wrong. I usually just complain to DD and get a refund but decided to call the store instead because I was considering going to pick up a replacement since my heart was so set on this salad. The manager Ricky answered and was so very kind and apologetic. He went over my order with me and delivered it personally to make sure to get it right. I was blown away by the gesture and the replacement was delicious. I assume he can't do that with every mess up but seriously this was the best customer service ever! Will remain a loyal customer....

I’m genuinely so disappointed because I used to love this place but when I went in today I got a salad and as I was eating it I noticed a tiny piece of hair. As I looked through the salad I found many more and I had already eaten some.. i don’t know if this was intentional or accidental because there were so many but either way it’s not okay. These are four that i picked out but there were many more.. I was really hoping it was something else and not hair but as I looked closer one literally had a split end. I never ever ever write reviews especially bad ones but this is unacceptable

SO GLAD I FINALLY CAME IN! First impression, Aussie immediately greeted me with a smile and made me feel so welcome and appreciated. She took such good care of me and walked me through the whole process as I was new to GD. To say she was a GEM is an understatement. Then came Corey who was just as pleasant and attentive. This place will become a new regular of mine whenever i’m back in town!! OH AND MY SALAD IS FFIIIIIRREEEEE 🔥🔥🔥 Their caesar dressing is soooo different and soooo good SUPER garlicky!!!!
