For lunch today I purchased the #9 Italian. It's one of my go-to sandwiches at JJ's, along with the tuna, and turkey with avocado. So I didn't think twice to order the #9, which I particularly wanted because of the alternative to mayo used, being oil, vinegar and oregano seasoning. A classic Italian sub. What I received was the nastiest, most unpalatable sandwich I've had in a long, long time. A sandwich so bad, I won't be a return customer. It made Subway a better choice.
The sandwich was the norm of meats, cheese, lettuce and tomato, but what ruined this sandwich was the dressing used. Or what the sauce ingredients merged into to give the sandwich a ranchy-sour taste. Bleh.đ¤˘đ¤Ž I couldn't figure out why it tasted So Bad, but realized the sandwich maker put what I thought was ranch dressing on it. (Ranch that I thought was spoiled and I was now going to get sick.) But on closer inspection I came to the conclusion he had put mayo on the sandwich with the oil and vinegar. And it merged into this viscous, sour mess of a sauce. It was so disgusting I had to discard it after a few bites.
In all my years as a JJ's customer I have Never had the #9 with mayo. Never. Just the ideal of combining mayo with more oil and vinegar just turns my stomach. This sandwich has Always come with just oil and vinegar. It's like adding mayo to an Italian meatball sub. You just don't so that.
I looked up the menu online and mayo is listed as an added ingredient. I don't know if in the past other employees have been attentive and had the courtesy to ask if I wanted mayo on the sandwich and I said no, but the ideal that someone at JJ's thought mayo belongs on this sandwich and put that in the directions to building this sub confounds me. I just know this is the first (and last) time I will have mayo on an Italian sub. I'm nauseous just thinking about it. And this is the last time I will (attempt to) eat at Jimmy John's.
Another time I dearly wished a Jersey...
Read moreVery poor customer service. I purchased a sandwich. I forgot to order the wheat bread and asked if I could purchase the bread to keep from them making another sandwich. I was on lunch break and trying to save time. The request was refused.
The wheat bread cost extra and is the reason I enjoy the sandwich. So the sandwich was horrible and unenjoyable over something that could have been prevented by granting a simple customer ask, which I offered to purchase. Due to a busy day and hungry, I ate as much as I could stand of the sandwich. Very poor service.
There were about 10 different restaurants I could have chosen to go to and I will definitely do that going forward. If I had not been pressed for time I would have requested my money back and went to the other places I considered....
Read moreWorst customer service experience ever. An older lady and 2 young guys. 1 person in front of us with older son. Wouldnât take our order until done with them to figure out they still have a carry out order to fill. Waited 5 minutes. I ordered a wrap combo and then they tell us they only have wraps and baby sub sandwich bread left. We asked if they could put a regular sub on 2 baby subs or use the wrap. There response was no we can only put what belongs on them. Let me see, you ran out of bread 2 hours before you close. Did someone not tell you to plan better. The manager should be fired and the woman who said no substitutes even though she inconvenienced the customer...
