Wife and I dropped in today for lunch. We were two of a total of 6 people at noon on a Tuesday. We used to own a deli and have been in food service biz, so we have an idea of what we see when we visit various restaurants. Not a good lunch crowd. The place seriously needs to clean or replace the kitchen exhaust system. We both left smelling like french fries. Stray dogs followed us home. Full stop. Very strong grease odor inside. Not good. I had the "Bossburger" which was over cooked, dry and much smaller than when Louie Karem owned it. It came with a tiny bag of chips. $13.95. Wife had some kind of a chicken wrap. She said it was ok. We both had iced tea. Seemed homemade. Total tab was $31+ tip. I know food costs have risen. But I believe this burger has doubled in price and is substantially smaller than used to be served. The place is a good neighborhood watering hole. It's needed in Norton Commons. But the food quality seems to have fallen off with the change in ownership last fall. We'll go back for a beer sometime...but I'll stick with my own burgers off the grill. YMMV. You WILL want to shower after...
Read moreI’ve eaten at this place 3-4 times a week since I’ve moved here. Tonight was a horrible experience. My two boys (11 and 8) came in for dinner at 6 o’ clock. The place is really small and it was packed. I told the gentleman we would take a table or bar seating. He said he’d seat us as soon as he could, which is fine. After we arrived another couple came in and was waiting as well. I could tell they knew the bar tender as they were chatting. Long story short 3 seats opened up at the bar after we had been waiting 20-30 minutes and the couple sat down. Again, I can see how that would happen as bar is mostly seen as first to sit gets the seats so still no worries. Then a two top opened up and I asked the bartender to please ask the couple to take the two top so that they could sit and so could we. Instead he said they came here all the time and would sit at the bar most of the night. I told him we were there first and told him we would sit at the bar. He didn’t care so neither do I anymore. Will never go back. Hope it...
Read moreI called to place a to-go order because I'm house sitting for my mother -inlaw as they are in FL making arrangements to move. I asked if the marinated steak was GF because I am highly sensitive to it, for the gentleman on the phone to say,"well it doesn't have any bread so of course its GF". First of all, as a restaurant it is important to be familiar with allergies and the ingredients in your food. Gluten is more than just bread, it is found in a wide variety of spices, marinades, and overall ingredients that you wouldn't think. So thanks for being rude to me and making me feel like a bother for wanting to eat and try your restaurant. Thanks for not putting my green beans in...
