This was a very positive experience for me. I have had issues with KFC's in the West End before. The quality and care that goes into putting the food in boxes had previously been lacking. The chicken had been torn up and unappealing as if it had been slam dunked in the box by someone worn a running start from across the room. Biscuits had been crumbled and really only half there. Even the drinks presented a problem. They were watered down as though someone made them at the beginning of their shift and stored them to be served during peak hours. Not this time, not this time at this place. During this single visit KFC totally redeemed itself!!
Desiree worked the window, when I tell you she worked the window I mean she worked the hell out of that drive-through window. I could see the shine from her smile from around the bend of the drive-through lane! Her co workers followed suit and provided a box of beautifully prepared chicken and sides. The flavor went all the way through the skin and deep into the meat. The wedges were light and crispy. The diet Mountain Dew was crisp and refreshing. Desiree's name tag said she was "Danny", but she didn't care she was determined to provide excellent customer service. I actually called her Danny and she happily explained that she didn't have a new name tag yet, but "Danny" started with "d" just like her name so there it was.
Thank you West End, 18th Street KFC for restoring my faith in West End fast food joints. I'll definitely be coming...
Read moreFast food is always good sometimes the locations getting the fast food isn't all that good. I have nothing against restaurants that's in the hood is the people that work there just because you're in the hood doesn't mean you have to act like you're in the hood. Make my visit worthwhile show some good customer services be polite make me feel like I want to come back there again. The lady that worked in the Drive-Thru was very nasty ask her a question and her response was not friendly. I almost canceled my order. All I asked her was how long was they going to be serving Chicken and waffles and did they have them at all the locations. Nevertheless the chicken and waffles was delicious. I totally wish they were add that on that menu and I wish they will give you another waffle with your order that is my personal opinion on that. These people that own these franchises needs to be a little more selective of the people they hire I know you don't make a lot of money there and I understand that I'm not judging I just want some good hospitality when I'm spending my money. Also she was so busy being smart she forgot to put my syrup in my bag who can eat waffles...

I just grabbed a 3-piece Original Recipe meal for a little over $9, and let me tell you, it's like stepping back in time. The chicken? Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and tenderâexactly how I remember it from back in the day. But here's the kicker: the sides are just as good.
The coleslaw is juicier than you'd expect, giving it that refreshing crunch that complements the meal. The biscuit? Buttery and soft, practically melts in your mouth. And to top it all off, the lemonade is a solid 9.5âsweet and tangy, the perfect palate cleanser. Youâd think fast food would feel rushed, but I was in and out quickly with plenty of time to spare, even if I wanted to dine in and enjoy my break.
And here's a fun fact: KFC's secret recipe includes 11 herbs and spices, but did you know that only two companies in the world know the exact formula? That's some top-tier flavor security. So, if youâre craving something familiar and delicious, donât hesitateâswing by KFC on Broadway. Itâs more...
