Brunch & Soul — Restaurant in Louisville

We drove up from Lexington to see about this restaurant that's been showing up in my Instagram and tiktok feed. Let me tell you, this place EXCEEDED ALL OF MY EXPECTATIONS. Let's start with the service. They could not have been more hospitable. Very kind and helpful with menu suggestions. Now on to THE FOOD!!! These waffles will change your entire outlook on how a waffle should taste. Fluffy and full of flavor! They had like six different flavors available today and we tried the caramel. Some other offerings were cinnamon roll, birthday cake, cookies and cream, and strawberry. Their chicken wings were not little bitty cornish hen wings. These are full size grown up wings! Alright, where to begin? This is my first time successfully eating at Brunch and Soul. To no fault of the owner, the last time I ordered something, it was out of stock. Today, I got what I ordered! The pot roast, side of greens, and some sweet potatoes. When I tell you, this is some SOUL FOOD, I mean that. The pot roast is tender, juicy, and flavorful. The Greens are fresh, not from a can, and have an amazing flavor. The only thing I didn't like is the sweet potatoes being a little chewy. The flavor was good, and if that's my only gripe, that's amazing. If you are in the market for a great quality meal packed with flavor, I would recommend this spot. This was well worth every bite definitely left me wanting more. The food was delicious everything looked exactly as pictured and tasted even better. The Banana Pudding waffles tasted just like a bowl of banana pudding and not just any kind but the one your grandma only make on special occasions. The chicken was fried crunchy(not hard real chicken eaters know the difference) the wings were a little small but they were so good I only noticed how small they were bcuz they literally left me wanting more.
