Together, concept and seasonings, save this small wonder hidden within the depths and crevices of 18th and Muhamed Ali st. Sweet Peaches’ brick and mortar idea offers a bright and comfy experience. The interior coloring gives a very French vibe with its white and light sky blue hues. Seating offers two booth options, a row of wait seating and a few tables with chairs. Very much order and go vibes. But if you can find a reasonable seating take it…the colors alone will calm and break your depression from the outside world. Wait staff is knowledgeable and polite. The food was hot, plentiful, and took every bad thing I had to say about the place irrelevant. It was that good and trust me iM a picky eater and love to complain about something…but the food checked off every single box I had for my first time dining at Sweet Peaches. The Boss lady herself came front of house and asked every single customer of the food was good and if everything was okay…she was not only polite but had a huge smile on her face and when there was any issues…she handled it right then and there and made sure to have items leaving the kitchen double and triple checked…it really is a good time and has the potential to become the comfort food hangout because my food hit the spot…now for my reason for leaving 3 stars. When you google Sweet Peaches under their own operating menu states a listing of itemized goods…everything has a pricing to it. Beverages are listed as 2.25…dinners with 2 sides are 10.75….Al cart has its own special pricing and desserts like 2.50 not high at all. When I arrived at the restaurant there was a black board sign with absolutely no pricing so I’m thinking what I saw on the online menu was what I would be charged. 3 dinners a dessert and 2 drinks and I was charged $55.00 once I paid I went back and looked at the online menu and it was nowhere near $55.00 . So I went to the cashier and she then informed me the reason it’s higher was because the pricing on the online menu were wrong…all meals with 2 sides were 12 bucks and the ones with ribs and brisket was I think 14 or more…she then told me the drinks weren’t 2.75 but 5.00 for a small drink…and desserts are 5$…nothing I ordered was the right price that reflects on the menu. I didn’t argue any further and just decided the place was super sketchy for operating like that and not willing to make a conscious effort to either give me the price that the menu stated or anything a discount nothing…so yeah the food was good but their marketing to showcase what they offer and the correcting pricing needs to be updated because that made me feel super concerned how easily the cashier stated the Menu was wrong… because if it hadn’t been Mother’s Day and my mom wasn’t there I sure would have wanted something to be done about the fact that you promo one price but charge way more…3 dinners 2 drinks and a dessert should have been 39.25 and I was charged $55.00 so yeah the food was amazing but it would have been nice to have felt like their mistake had been resolved and not just looked over…It’s just the vibe that I took away that ruined...
Read moreThis was my first time going into Sweet Peaches. I went on my lunch, with an hour to spare. I walked in the door, and it was as though everything and everyone stopped, which was awkward. I spoke to everyone and waited and waited another customer walked in and the owner started chatting it up with the customer, there was a woman at the counter taking a catering order, neither one of these women asked me could they help me. The owner asked the customer that walked in after me what could she get for her. I stood there and finally she asked me what I wanted to order. I ordered a chicken soup. I waited nearly 45 minutes to get a chicken soup. As other customers were coming in the lady at the counter told them that if it's your 1st visit you get a free cookie, neither she or the owner offered me any complimentary cookie. I am one that loves to support small businesses especially owned by women. The customer service was terrible and if took me 45 minutes to get a cup of soup then my business would not be in business for long. First impressions are everything and this was absolutely the worst customer service I have received in...
Read moreWe're from out of town and couldn't wait to visit this seemingly amazing place that has such great reviews and pics, however the business hours online and on the door clearly state 9am-5pm. We arrived at exactly 2pm that afternoon and the doors were locked, we could see children inside and an adult. I tried the door again and she never at least came to the door to say sorry we're closing early, the times have changed....just waved and kept sweeping the floor??????
The integrity of any business needs to have consistency, better yet plain old respect their contributors. I definitely feel bad for posting this but we wasted gas and time...
