To start on a good note, and the only one at that, Austin at the front desk was the best employee on shift. After our issues with the bowling lanes (in detail below) he was kind enough to give us complementary arcade cards. Moving onto the bad. Bowling: we had to be moved twice as our first lane didn't work at all, then our second lane worked for one roll and then the pins wouldn't reset. So we moved to our third lane which we didn't have anything wrong with. I did have a problem with their bowling shoes, they felt rather slippery and didn't have a whole lot of grip. Which makes it rather hard to bowl as I just felt like I was going to fall. Service/Food: When we finally got to our third lane we had a server, Margaret, come up to us during our second frame to take our drink order which just happened to be 2 waters and a beer, by frame 8 she still had not returned. I happened to spill my soda around that time and we had to track some employees down to ask for napkins, they said they would bring some to us. Around 10 minutes pass and finally the bartender arrives to help clean my mess, afterwards we put our drink order in AGAIN with him as our original server still hadn't returned. He was able to get the drinks to us in a timely manner. At the beginning of our second game we went to the bar to put in a food order; as again, the original server still hadn't come back around with drinks or to check in, though she did come around eventually but I felt the energy she was giving was as if she were upset with us even though we hadn't done anything to her at all. We finish the entire second round of our game with no food, so we make our way over to the bar as we didn't want to take up those seats any longer. Once we got over to the bar we let the bartender who took our order know we were now going to be sitting over there, he immediately rushes to the kitchen (which you can see) to check on our food. I noticed there were only 2 food tickets in at the time and he bring sour food out shortly after that interaction. We ordered the cheeseburger, ceasar salad, and personal pizza so I'm really not sure what took so long. I feel like they forgot as my plate was rather hot which indicates to me it sat under the heat lamp for a while. Cheeseburger was ok, ceaser salad wasn't very good and they forgot the tomatoes and the pizza was mediocre. Overall wouldn't spend your hard-earned money on this overpriced food. Management: After our rather bad experience one of my party members went up to one of the managers on duty. Who didn't really seem to care that his staff that cared where running back and forth to help different areas, I watched him just stand while a line formed at the front desk, where eventually Austin came back from working in the bowling area to help the people in line. My group member who talked to the manager let him know that our server wasn't very attentive, he responded that she was the only server at the moment. As someone who also manages in the restaurant industry she gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him know that it can be hard when short-staffed, especially during the holiday season, to that he just responded that one server was actually arrested (why would you tell us this?? Unprofessional) and the other just didn't show up. So it honestly seemed like he didn't really care we didn't have a good night even though this is a rather expensive place to spend your night at. He didn't offer any apologies or anything in response to a very poor experience. Also, in the women's bathroom the first 2 sinks didn't work and some of the soap dispensers didn't have any soap. TLDR: Go spend your money somewhere else. Too expensive of a place to receive bad...
Read moreWe went for my daughter's birthday. It wasn't a party. Just my 2 daughters, and my birthday girl's friend. I hadn't ever been so I didn't know what to expect. I tried looking online to see prices but they only had prices for big groups listed online so that wasn't much help. We walked in and 1st thing I looked at was the board. I wanted some kind of package so they could play games and do some extras. I noticed while I was in line they had an all-you-can-play pass and the extras listed according to price. My girls were excited jumping up and down for laser tag. I was going to get the 3 of them all-you-can-play passes ( I assumed this was the arcade games) and add on the laser tag and ropes course. When I got up to the front the guy told me the all-you-can-play passes included everything on the board. I even confirmed. " So it includes games and all the other stuff?" He said, "YES, it includes bowling, billiards, ropes course, and Laser tag." I said " Wow! Ok, I'm just surprised." I ended up getting one for myself too. He gave us bracelets and then moved on to the next person in line. I'm confused and wonder aloud to my daughter" How we are supposed to play the games with just these paper bracelets?" She said she thought they gave us cards at the place we reserved Laser tag and stuff so we headed that way. The lady took our reservation and we asked about game cards while showing her our bracelets. She said we got those upfront. I figured the guy forgot so we did Laser tag 1st then I went back up front while the girls were waiting for the ropes course. When I got back up there and tried to explain that I bought the all-you-can-play pass and didn't get game cards. He said he explained to me it didn't include games. Umm no, he didn't. I told him I asked for games, and he told me I didn't. Rude. I'm starting to get upset at this point. I just wanted to get some game cards and I thought I bought a package that came with them so now I needed to figure out how to get the cards and how much they cost. Thinking back he did say it includes everything on the board and games were not on the board. But I had said GAMES, and he never corrected me. It was obvious I was assuming the pass was for games. Especially when I said "wow! I'm surprised." He just rang it up and still didn't correct me. When he said it includes everything I thought it was some kind of great deal. I wouldn't have bought the one for myself if I had known I still needed to buy them game cards too. I was just wanted the girls to have fun. He wanted to shake his head and argue. I'm a grown woman but this teenager almost made me cry. Thank goodness a kind manager came up and listened while I explained. He kindly told me I could exchange the brackets for game cards even after I told him we had already done laser tag, and the girls did ropes. I wasn't trying to be a Karen. I was genuinely confused. Any other place "play pass" means arcade stuff. It was very nice of him. I didn't catch his name, but thank you, sir. I know this is long, but I wanted to warn anyone who has never been. Play pass does NOT include games. In fact no nowhere on the overhead board lists how much game cards are. You just have to ask. The guy did point to a paper on the counter that lists card credits after I went back up there and he said I never asked about games. (still bothers me, because I did and he knows it) but that wasn't on the big board with prices where most people would look. After all that confusion I will say that my girls had...
Read moreBrought granddaughter here while visiting. First, there were two male workers hitting a marijuana vape in the restroom! After spending over 3 hours accumulating more than 20,000 points, we took the child to cash in her points for prizes. She was VERY excited. The lady working the prize area was very polite, but couldn't get our cards to scan. She apologized and got help. Together, the two workers could not figure out the issue. I asked to see a manager. When another young man walked up, I explained to him that we had came in with 3 coupons good for one hour each of free play. He said that it was THEIR fault for failing to tell us that you must also purchase another card with those to spend your points. My granddaughter was disappointed as was I. I expressed my disappointment and he asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I was told he WAS the manager! What a LIE! So when the manager approaches with my GD in tears, I explain all over again. He said that the coupons were only good for free play and not for gifts. Excuse me, but your worker just told me it was YOUR fault. Also, why play games for hours and the machines show you earning points to spend on prizes? Isn't that the entire purpose of playing to begin with??? I had planned to offer to just buy something so my GD wouldn't be so upset. But before I could speak, Manager Mike St. George said, and I quote, you were rude to my employees, you WON'T be getting any points OR prizes and you WILL leave immediately! I was flabbergasted. I was never rude! Upset? Absolutely. Mr. St. George was the one who was rude. We left immediately and won't be back! He is a poor manager with poor people skills, has employees using drugs on the job, employees who don't know how to do their job, and to top it off, there were over 2 dozen machines that didn't even work! And don't even get me started with trying to find someone working the concessions to order a soft drink. He can't even keep the business running. Don't waste your...
