I generally love waffle house. But I cannot comment on the food this time because I did not get to eat. But I can say that the service was absolutely horrific. A concert had just let out so understandably they were short-staffed and overwhelmed. I still chose to patiently wait fully understanding the situation and knowing that they were swamped and stressed. All of that I was fine with. What upset me is the waitress who was the only person working, had an attitude with all the customers. Was very adamant to let everyone know that she normally worked day shift. This was why she did not work night shift but like once every so often. She got snappy with customers and rude with several people for mistakes that she made. That being said she made those mistakes because she was extremely overwhelmed and pulled in a million directions. But the customers were all very respectful to her more so than I expected them to be. And she was still rude and hateful. After my 45 minute wait and giving up and deciding to find somewhere else to eat. I go outside to a young man a wearing waffle house uniform on the phone smoking talking trash about all the team members inside and how they're struggling. So instead of going inside to help his fellow team members he wants to be on the phone mocking the situation while he gets to sit outside and relax. And make rude and hateful remarks about his coworkers. I understand that everyone gets breaks and lunches. But in all my years of working I've had to shift mine around to adapt to busier times of the day and take my lunch a little earlier a little later to ensure that my team members did not struggle.I just found this very unprofessional and try to take into consideration the particulars of the situation. Which I had no issue waiting that’s not her fault it’s got to be done that’s not why I’m giving a bad rating.. We ordered two steak and eggs which I told her twice that we were getting two, we only ended up getting one so I sent my boyfriend back to go get the other one and apparently it’s our fault that she didn’t write it down and the manager got an attitude with me about it not being on the ticket and so I go to open up my food which was supposed to have jalapeños onions and bacon in it and I had even talked to another server about how the menu recently changed and I was asking if I could still get jalapeños and he said yes the manager told me that I was lying about that because there was no one else there besides him and the young lady that took my order which just wasn’t true I don’t know why I would lie about that anyways he gets an attitudeAnd says that he didn’t hear me tell her that I wanted jalapeños onions and bacon? Like why would I lie about this? Anyways he continues to argue with me about it saying that I never said that, he was 10 feet away not even paying attention when I was ordering so I don’t know how he would know and he also argued that there was nobody else in the store besides him and that young lady .. Read moreI stopped in here for an early morning breakfast with my oldest son, the place was super busy with every table being full and a small line waiting for seating. As our turn arrived there were people behind us waiting. We walked to a table where three people were getting up and we sat before the dishes were cleared but almost immediately our waitress was at your table and taking the used items and cleaning our table. Despite being super busy and rushed our waitress took the time to welcome us and to greet us while being friendly.
I ordered a Fiesta Omelet. Again, despite the crowd and constant calling of orders to the line cook our order was called and shortly our food was brought to our table. The Omelet was light and fluffy, filled with items and more than enough food. I mixed mine with some of their salsa sitting on the table. Our order was completely accurate and delicious.
Waffle House always does a great job and the staff all work behind the counter in unison while staying completely busy. As we finished another group was at our table and repeating the same process.
