Read moreThis place is an absolute pleasure to go to. My wife and I eat Asian cuisine frequently and are always searching for a great place. We live a couple hours away but frequently travel to Louisville and we had a usual spot but it’s recently declined in quality. We found this place via Googling and it will be a our new frequent spot. We ate there 2 days in a row on some business trips to Louisville.
The choices are excellent, wide array of food to eat, it’s hot, fresh and great tasting. I actually felt it wasn’t extremely salty like a lot of Asian restaurants are.
I had special requests with my drinks and the waitresses though maybe not able to understand at times due to language barrier were always friendly and helpful and got me exactly what I asked for and kept working to make me happy even if they didn’t fully understand. They kept the table cleaned off, my cup full and the place was clean. The lighting and the decor was super awesome to look at and it felt real inviting.
A highlight point for me as corny as it may be is I dislike sushi. I’ve tried several types and cannot get over the seaweed and I actually found one type that was fried I actually liked and ate so that was nice.
I’m not sure if it just wasn’t out for that day but I would like to see pineapple and those puff pastries on the bar as those are a couple staples I eat when I eat Chinese food but it was only a minor disappointment. I absolutely love the cream filled pastries, burnthere is literally so many choices it wasn’t hard to find something I wanted. The only thing I didn’t try was the Mongolian bar as that’s just not my thing.
All in all it was a great experience and we will be back frequently. The lunch buffet was priced fair though I guess the price goes up at various times of the day. It’s became our new go to place and we have already recommended it to some friends and family members. I’m usually pretty critical and rarely do I give 5 stars because there is always something everyone can improve on but this is certainly worthy of 5 stars for my standards.
I’d like to thank Yoki Buffet for the great experience and look for us to visit...
Read moreAt this buffet I had an uncomfortable and sad experience yesterday Easter Sunday with my family. When we arrived, at the entrance there was a mother with three small children with a sign in her hand asking please help her pay the entrance fee to feed her children, she was unemployed and she had no money. It should be noted that she did not ask for money, but rather to be paid for food. We immediately told her to walk past us, that we would pay for them to eat. When we got to the counter and explained that they were giving us two tables and that we would pay for both, we immediately noticed the annoyance of the person who apparently was the owner. He asked us several times if we were sure we would pay for that family, and my husband, almost annoyed, answered yes. Finally, they seated each family at different tables, and it was very uncomfortable to see how the owner approached ours to question the fact that we were paying this needy family, claiming that Louisville was full of people like that, and even suggesting that maybe he should call the police so that “those people do not bother his clients anymore.” He said that they were well dressed and did not seem to be in need, then he told us that those “kind of people” filled the table with food and it was only out of vice that they did it. Anyway! This man demonstrated on a day like Easter Sunday that not all human beings carry God and his commandments in our hearts and that honestly the future of humanity will be as black as his. In other words, for that mother, bringing her children clean and decently dressed did not seem to have economic need, she should have brought them dirty and beggars and we, according to him, should not have paid for their food. I'm sorry, but I had to tell this situation and I hope that if this man reads it he will reflect and learn not to take the liberty of judging people at first glance. We each have a story behind resilience, I'm sure that mother and her little ones have it. It is not comfortable or a source of pride for anyone to stand at a door and...
