First of all I've always loved O'Bryan s. And Yes I understand a new owner bought them out. But at least change the name so regular s like my self and not expect great fish and pay more for less . The onion rings were cookie cutters out of a bag. And The Fish batter taste just like that. No seasoning. And Maybe hire waitress or a person with some personality even if it's highly faked. Sorry but not sorry that I feel more than upset for not only. paying for food that doesn't hold a candle to The Original owners. But For All the above. And I'm aware that taken few minutes out of my time to even post a review that MOST NEW OWNERS WOULD NOT OR I HOPE WOULDN'T WANT A BAD REVIEW ABOUT AN BAD EXPERIENCE. And even if this review doesn't bother The New owners that We will NEVER COME BACK then it is what it is. But for anyone that have went to O'Bryan s before it sold out to these new owners displaying the O'Bryan s name then Save your money and don't go there expecting Good fish and service that went with the real Owner's that kept not only myself but others that loved a good fish sandwich with a good amphere then You may want to go to captain dees cause honestly I wished I would have went there instead of This New joint that is using The Name so people who haven't been there will come. And don't have to waste time or money to be disappointed. Again Sorry but not sorry ....
Read moreI don't review terribly often, but this place absolutely deserves it. Relaxing atmosphere, super friendly staff, reminds me of an old fashioned country bar that you simply don't see here in the city surrounded by huge chain businesses. It's a small building and pretty easy to miss, but the fish sandwich platter is to die for, and tastes fantastic by itself, no condiments or anything needed, but it is very big. You may go home with a togo box, or if you manage to finish the platter, you will definitely have a full and happy belly. This place needs to be put on the map ASAP so everyone can visit. They also sell burgers as well, so if fish isn't your thing, you are still in luck. You simply DONT find service as friendly and personal as you do here, this is the first restaurant I have been in for YEARS that I felt actually acknowledged and cared about. This will definitely become a regular stop for me as long as they are around, and I think once more people catch wind of this place, it will be a regular for them as well. The ONLY downside I can come up with is they are cash only, and they aren't super visible. P.S. Trish is an awesome, super friendly lady. Hope she takes our order next time, and each...
Read moreThis place is a small hole in the wall country diner type place, with great food and great atmosphere. Our server, Trish, was warm and welcoming, super sweet and helpful as we went over our options, and just provided a really nice atmosphere. The fish sandwich was all I've heard and more- good portion size, cooked to perfection, flaky, tender and just nothing bad to say at all. Fries were well seasoned too, and I also enjoyed the cole slaw. We got there right as fresh sweet tea was being brewed, so that was another welcome treat. The casual, relaxed feel, warm banter between staff and some other customers, and amazing food, good prices, means this place is now on our list of places to eat regularly. Only down side I could find was that they only take cash, so, be prepared for that. I wasn't. The store behind them has an...
