OK, so...I'm not going to throw around a wordy review of the food. If I'm being honest here, this is not what you would consider high quality food. It is hot. It is good. It is plentiful. But what I honestly like, there is a HUGE selection. So if I want a little of this, or a little of that, and then some of this with it, I can. To me that is what is so great about this place. There are so many options of how to mix up your plate, and that is what I LOVE about buffets. Everything, to me, was good. They had nothing available that was bad. I loved what I had, and whenever I get a Chinese craving, this is my go to place. WHAT I would love to touch on, are the low life, idiotic, pure 100% STUPID MORONS that are done, and leave, and have a plate of food, that they did not eat. In my opinion, those IDIOTS should be banned from doing a buffet ever again. I was in there on Monday afternoon, say around 13:00 or 13:30 hours, and I got seated behind an old guy, old, and UGLY, good lord, this guy had to sneak up on a glass of water. Was every bit of 6' if not more. Hang on buddy, I'm calling you out. He had a lot of skin tags, especially 3 pronounced on his back that actually were very defined from his shirt. This guy so disgusted me, when he left, there was a plate and half full, of food. I mean, it actually was stacked.Pathetic POS. Had I known he was walking out I would have, in a very loud voice, asked him why he was leaving so much food on those 2 plates. In my opinion, buffets, and having the privilege to dine at one is a blessing. And when low life morons leave that much food behind, it has to be so frustrating for the owners of the buffet. The sad part, he wasn't the only one. There was a fat middle age couple that each left about a half a plate of food when they left. PEOPLE, please, please, please DO NOT LEAVE FOOD on plates at buffets, when you leave. OK, time to get off of my soap box, bottom line, I enjoy very much going here, the selection of food is phenomenal, and I will continually treat myself to...
Read moreWell, we did a thing. After collectively losing right at 60 lbs. and having not eaten in a restaurant since March, Haylee and I had a splurge lunch out! We had heard wonderful things about Hibachi Buffet on Dixie, since their reopening and we decided to try it.
IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! They are taking every precaution imaginable to keep people safe. They are seating parties well over 6 feet apart, wearing gloves, masks, AND plastic face shields, have one way directional arrows on the floor for traffic, and are constantly cleaning! They also give everyone coming in very clear instructions to wear plastic gloves when handling the serving utensils. The gloves are provided when walking in and at the buffet itself. There are hand sanitizer stations and boxes of gloves everywhere. The items like sauces and ice cream are preportioned in to go containers. The sushi bar and hibachi grill are closed off for now for safety reasons. All employees were very helpful and polite!
We were uneasy eating out for the first time, but would go back in a heartbeat! I even asked our waitress if I could take her picture to show the PPE she was wearing and she thanked us for the compliments. I told her I was going to leave reviews for them everywhere I...
Read moreVery horrible experience. This was my 3rd time there and I regret to say, we will not be back. It was hot but the food was mostly cold. Our table stayed full (there were 3 of us and a baby), our water cups stayed empty. I actually had to walk up to one of the servers, where the drink fountain is, to get a refill after waving and raising my hand trying to get someone's attention for over 10 minutes. All the fruit, besides the watermelon, tasted old and expired. The ice creams, with the exception of butter pecan and cookies and cream, were melted. The food was only half way enjoyable because of the horrible service. I've never been treated like that here. Still, I planned to leave a cash tip for the less than mediocre service we received, but no one ever gave us the little black tray with the fortune cookies. We'd been done eating for a while and sat there, simply waiting on the tray as we watched them being handed out to everyone around us. It was both an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. To top it off, I had an out of town guest with me, way to make an impression! This is a place that I brag about being the best Asian buffet in the city, to...
