Beware! Business founded on nothing but scams. On of the owners bragged from being from Florida, and their business model seem to be modeled on the "tourist' rip off bars located on the beaches there... This is a long post, and I do not write reviews very often, but you should be aware of the rip offs...
While it seems like a great idea to "pour you own beer" (selection is substandard) you are charged outrages prices by the ounce:
When I asked one of the owners to explain, so said;
THE COMPANY COUNTS ON YOU NOT REVIEWING YOUR BILL SO THIER SCAMS ARE...
Read moreThis place is a mess. I was excited to try it because the look of the place had changed so much from the previous taproom there. The big patio was enticing and looked fun. However, our entire experience there can be described as "meh."
First of all, they have no menus. You have to scan a QR code, then put in your phone number and create an account in order to receive a text message just to SEE the menu. More than HALF the menu was "out of stock" so choices were extremely limited. The menu was confusing and inconsistent. Each person couldn't easily look at the menu. We had to pass the phone around one by one so that each person could scroll to see the options, so ordering also took extra long.
We wanted an appetizer before our meals came out, but it wasn't clear how to do that (because the waitress was nowhere to be seen to ask questions) so we ended up getting an appetizer, full meals, and dessert all at the same time.
The service was virtually inexistent. There was one waitress that wandered around from time to time but couldn't answer a single one of our questions when we asked her. We had wanted to ask questions about different items on the menu but couldn't because there was nobody to ask (waitress would disappear for 15 minutes at a time) and also because I suppose they were just waiting to receive our order in the kitchen via the virtual menu.
When the food arrived, it was surprisingly decent. But my sister paid $6 extra to get chicken on her salad, and it was just a tiny sprinkling. Absolutely NOT worth an extra $6. I wasn't super happy with my side but mainly because there was no waitress to ask questions to about them, so I just took a wild guess. The dips were really good and the churros were super.
You have to get your own water, get your own cutlery, bus your own table, etc. The one thing we asked our waitress to bring us, she completely forgot about. Our waitress isn't even the one who brought our food out to us. We as patrons had to do the majority of the work, yet we were still prompted to tip 15%, 18%, or 20% and it seems there was also a gratuity already added. But like, who are we tipping? For doing what?
Then when we went to the bathroom, we saw that staff was all back there on their phones. No wonder the service was bad.
I think this place has potential and I really wanted to like it, but they need to make a LOT of improvements to make it an enjoyable experience. We will not be back. There are plenty of other great craft beer spots and restaurants around this area to waste...
Read moreThe Optimus fries were great! They stayed crispy all the way until the end and it's a pretty big portion so we were pretty impressed. The brussel sprouts were also really delicious, I'm not a huge fan of goat cheese but man the way it pairs with the pickled onion and lemon was something else, and the sauce they serve with makes it a perfect combo. I will definitely be ordering the Brussels again. I found my new fav drink being the blueberry lavender cooler, oh. My. Gosh that was so dang good, I was gonna just try new drinks. It got that twice instead lol. My friend got the blackberry Margarita, no salt, and they went a little heavy on the sours but it was decent. Then we ordered some Sammie's to go, I got the Nashville chicken and my friend got the pulled pork. The Nashville chicken was even better than I thought, nice crispy chicken with just a touch of heat at the back end. Not overbearing and not smothered in some sauce making the chicken soggy. Had those delicious pickled onions it and the brioche bun was very soft but not falling apart, that sandwich was scrump-didilly. I'll report back when I get an update on the pulled pork sammie. So happy I wanted to try this place. It looked like it was going to be packed when we pulled up but when we got up there it was still pretty calm and open with a lot of open tables. The only thing either of us complained about was we sat at a table and then noticed it was pretty dirty, picked another and it was really sticky. There wasn't really a way to tell which tables had been cleaned you just picked and hoped for the best. However our server had perfect timing all night and was very sweet, can't ask for more than that especially when they have an option to just order through the app to your table. She was on it. They got a table of 20 for bingo so she got a little swamped at the end and my second drink took like 20 min but she mustve looked like she was gonna bring hell on someone because she went back and within a minute I had my drink brought by a waiter. Highly recommend, will definitely...
