I eaten there a lot, mostly after tennis leagues with large groups, and their service is top notch. They are always ready for us and have pitchers of water ready for our group. Most of the time, even with the large group, the food is ready within 15 minutes and the food quality is very good and consistent. The prices and serving sizes are also reasonable as well, especially considering the current economy.
Service was a bit difficult today, but they were honest about it. They mentioned that their kitchen staff was shorthanded tonight. It took most people about 25-30 minutes to get their food. They made a mistake and handed my salad to another person who ate most of it. They made a new salad for me and I got it about 50 minutes after I ordered. They did make up for it. They gave me a $10 gift card and the waitress gave me a hug. She was really kind and wonderful. That told me that Saints really valued me as a longtime customer and showed how much the staff cares.
I ate at Saints probably over 100 times and only had slow service twice. The other time was a major US international soccer game. They have been very consistent in order speed, order accuracy, food quality, and keeping prices down. The atmosphere is good and it is a very laid back, casual bar that is easy to watch sports at or have quality conversations with friends. Parking can be a hassle some nights due to being at a busy shopping center in a busy part...
Read moreSUCKS! Funny, the review I wrote a while back is gone. So, here it is again! I was with "Lord" on the night in question (see below) and experienced the situation first-hand. Contrary to what the review by Charles states, there is absolutely no excuse for any employee to ever, ever slam the phone down in someone's ear not once, but TWICE. Then, completely ignore it on a 3rd attempt. I don't care how slow a restaurant is, you just don't do that, ever. That was complete failure to comply with the responsibilities an employee accepts upon starting a job and total disregard for the customer. And I find it laughable the other reviewer chose to ignore this irrefutable fact in his attempt to paint Saint's as a respectable place. Wouldn't be at all surprised to find this is an employee trying to save face for the event in question. It was disgraceful, and yes, we both still remember it quite well. Stay...
Read moreMy brother is a diehard Packer fan and had come into town for a few days, he HAD to catch the game Sunday which led me to Google Louisville Packer bars... Saints/SkyBar was the only result I got. Having never been here I wasn't sure what to expect. The patio was real nice (i noted a dog bowl with water, which says dog friendly to me) with an outdoor bar and TV, that was showing football, despite it being winter (smoke breaks won't mean missing any action). The lower bar was large and the bartender was friendly, drink prices were awesome, and we were pointed to the upper bar for all the Packer action. The upstairs is huge, 360 bar, large projection screen upfront to compliment the many tvs, couches and tables, and a very large (100+?) crowd of Packer fans. Needless to say my brother was pleased and I look forward to coming back to check out the bar and the food on a...
