***I would have gave taco choza 5 stars but im stingy with my 5 star ratings.*** It was Saturday night. It had been a long early spring day of yard work. We were hungry and thirsty. We looked in the fridge for a drink. We had purple stuff, soda and sunny D but none of that made me yell "yea man". So we persisted. We looked for food. I said, "pizza rolls" they na. I then yelled omg what will we do. Yelp, Google please help me. I then decided to take this mission rouge. I performed countless searches for the perfect long day meal to help me great rid of these long yard work day blues. I found this place I'd never heard of. It was a taco joint. I said to myself. "Self I thought you've been to all of the ville taco joints.", "I then responded to myself and said yelp can't be wrong!" And so the journey began. I had to make it through the many tourist riding scooters and walking across intersection while the orange hand says stop. I made it safely through that level. Now to avoid the drunk people spilling on to Shelbyville rd. Whewwwww, that was close. As I pulled into the parking lot I think its finally safe and I can relax. And then out of the shadows come drunk frar kids, wearing visors and rugby shirt. I feared for my safety but then I heard one say "hey Chip, let's go paddle each other" whewwww safe again. The churros were good 👍 Hahaha jk for real though this place was great. Definitely top 5 taco spots in Louisville. We shared the mahi, the birria, barbaco, crazy chessy, and as before mentioned the churros. The crazy cheesy I could have done without. Otherwise all was amazing

This hidden gem was surprisingly delicious. The inside dinning room isn't very big, but the cute mural on the wall helps open the place up. When it's not winter, there is plenty of outdoor seating. We were greeted and the front staff was very nice, even gave us a discount for our first time. We ordered a fajita quesadilla, loaded cheese fries, Al pollo, and an El Pastor taco. The cheese fries were a great appetizer, simple but large enough to share. The quesadilla shell was light and covered in cheese, the best quesadilla shell I've ever had. It was too light to hold the toppings inside, but I would return just simply for the shell. This place has the best pricing for Al Pollo at 6.99, and you get your money's worth. Overall, we left with 3 takeout boxes full of leftovers to enjoy later. Don't count this place out!

The cashier / service person who is taking the orders and taking the money was not very friendly coming in the door she didn't greet me she just stairred at me saying nothing, and on top of that she didn't give my whole order which included rice with it, and she didn't give me my change back until I inquired on it even though she gave me my receipt and walked away as if she knew what she was doing and the guy she works with said that she just forgot cuz he knew and I guess that's something that she normally do but I don't know I'm not from here and I just thought customer service should matter when it comes to the customer.

Okay so check this right, we have been looking for Birria Tacos with Consommé for months now. And with the recent trend we were more constantly reminded how much we wanted some. We know and knew they're big out in Cali and Texas but not sure about here. We searched first via internet to see what restaurant might sell them. We couldn't locate any on anyone's menu. So, at first we were about to give up. Then, we called one of the local restaurants because we've dined there before as well as a pick up order while currently in Pandemic. They answered the phone, I asked and she said they didn't. The funny thing was she said she's been looking to and haven't found it anywhere so if we found one call back and let her know. We felt defeated. But wait.....We decided to search on yelp and began with the first restaurant. The first restaurant to populate was, Taco Choza. A total of 8 populated. So, I said let the search begin. Sidebar: always call. Idc if you don't see it on the menu by searching their website or on any food app. CALL! Now, back to it. So, I called and ask and low behold she said, "We just started selling them". We weren't going to start selling them until Tuesday but since you requested it yes we can make it for you". It was like the gates of the Most High's Kingdom opened up. After celebrating in excitement we ordered 2 orders. I also kept my promise and called the young lady at the prior restaurant back to inform her we've found it and where she could get it. I don't think she believed we'd call back but we did. She was excited, surprised but yet elated we not only found it but called her back to tell her. I told her hey we're in a Pandemic and we have to look out for each other 😆. Food is the connection to us all. She thanked us and went to get our food. The food didn't disappoint. It was everything we thought and wanted it to be. It was aromatic, authentic and delicious. It looked and smelled delicious. We also ordered the Mexican 🌽 and Horchata. It all tasted absolutely wonderful. If my food looks and taste good then I've won. The price was good also. All of that put together and to top it off with great service you've won a repeat customer. Please go and check them out if you haven't. And if Birria Tacos isn't what you want order something else but go anyway. The service was great and the atmosphere was coo. I'm not dining in a Pandemic even if it's outside but to each it's own. The food is still worth the money and drive. Also, they provide curb side service. They're...

Wow! My wife and I went here last minute after spending the day doing yard work. At first the prices seemed a Little high for $5.50 tacos but the person at the counter assured us they were large so we each ordered 2 and indeed they were. We also got 2 XL premium margaritas and chips and guac. The total came to around $40 which I think is really good for the quality of food and service we received. It is a place where you order at the counter but midway through our meal someone did check on us which is a huge bonus for me when I’m at a counter service establishment. We could have ordered more drinks but what we already had was more than enough.

I ordered the Baja fish tacos and the Birria tacos and my wife got the steak fajitas and the barbacoa tacos. We tried everything and we both agreed the Birria were the best. Everything else was excellent and I look forward to trying out the rest of the menu. The margaritas were also very delicious. A lot of times I go to Mexican joints and I can tell the margaritas are from a homogenous bottle but I these were mixed and honestly I’m craving another.

Come check this place out before there is a line...
