I recently had the pleasure of dining at District 6, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. Here’s why: Inventive Menu: District 6 seamlessly blends traditional Vietnamese flavors with modern twists. The menu is a delightful mix of classics and innovative creations. Don’t miss the Spicy Mama T – it’s a flavor explosion! Warm Atmosphere: The cozy ambiance makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re catching up with friends or having a romantic dinner, District 6 sets the perfect stage. Attentive Service: The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They’re happy to guide you through the menu and recommend dishes based on your preferences. Gorgeous Presentation: Each dish is a work of art. Vibrant colors, fresh herbs, and thoughtful plating – District 6 knows how to make food look as good as it tastes. Hidden Gem: District 6 might not be on everyone’s radar yet, but it should be. It’s a gem waiting to be discovered. In summary, District 6 is where tradition meets innovation, and every bite tells a story. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just looking for a memorable meal, this place won’t disappoint. Bon appétit! 🍽️

This place was recommended by a local on my flight into Louisville. She and my mom are both vegetarian and I’m always looking for places to take my mom that have multiple options. We shared the fresh summer rolls and both chose stir fried egg noodles, mine with chicken and my mom’s with tofu. The dish was full of all the veggies listed. This dish had a very, very mild spice level and I wasn’t asked for a heat level number. I requested sriracha but they were out, so the server brought chili flakes in oil and cautioned me to be careful. Bless her. I used the whole ramekin just to get a normal base amount of chili heat I’m used to at home (so cal). Lack of heat aside, it was an excellent stir fry. The iced tea with mango deserves a shout out. It’s got lots of fresh mango and was perfect with the food. The atmosphere is fine, so that’s really just a 1/4 point off for no drink coasters. I really really hate the drippy wet mess of an icy glass on a slick tabletop. A paper napkin or cardboard bar coaster is needed.

Let me preface this by saying my wife and I eat here about once every 2 weeks as Pho is our favorite food. We have never had an issue before now and our food is always correct. This last time we ate there, this was not the case. The beef pho comes with meatballs and we always get ours with out meat balls. Again, we eat here a lot and its always been correct. So today when we got our pho we noticed meatballs in it. My wife stared to just fish them out and I was already adding the jalapeños and sprouts to mine so we were just going to fish out the meatballs and not complain. Mistakes happen and we get that. Now here comes the disgusting part. As we are fishing out the meatballs the waitress comes over and insists on making it right. We brush it off and say no thanks and she keeps insisting she wants to have the kitchen fix it. So we let her take the bowls back to the kitchen. She returns in about 2 mins and sets the SAME bowls down in front of us. All she did was take it back in the kitchen while who knows who fished out the meatballs. This is not only a health code violation but just gross in general. They tried to offer us free coffee and some other nonsense to make up for it but we were much to grossed out to eat anymore. So TL;DR dont send any food back if you eat here becasue who knows what they are doing to it in the back. I can only assume they wanted to save the meatballs for...

So my favorite Vietnamese place is closed on Mondays and I was desperately craving some pho. District 6 was one of the only options available and I figured I’d give them a second chance after a mediocre first experience. Placed an order for delivery at around 5:15 and just received it a few minutes ago. It’s currently 8:28. Uber eats sent four separate drivers to pick up my food and each of them were told they were still preparing it. Now, 3 hours could be understandable if I’d ordered some grossly complicated item or meals for the whole family but it was one bowl of beef pho with shrimp and extra jalapeños. I’m in the restaurant industry, I completely get being busy but at that point it’s just unprofessional and disorganized to an unacceptable degree. Manager/owners should have turned off online orders hours ago, I can’t imagine how stressed your staff is. I won’t be patronizing this restaurant again and I will tell everyone I know. (The only reason you get a second star for service is because the young woman who answered the phone when I called to see what was going on was very sweet and quick to ask the kitchen/answer...
