Sam's Fast Food — Restaurant in Louisville

It was our first time stopping at Sam's. We were driving back to Chicago and let Me tellllll youuuuu we were definitely starving. The place is adorable IMO, reminded me a small mom and pop place where everyone in the neighborhood definitely stops by at least once a week. It's no big fancy restaurant it is a neighborhood hidden GEM. The lady taking orders was the absolute sweetest and kindest restaurant employee I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Love that it's set up cafeteria style you can literally see what you're ordering. The macaroni and cheese was phenomenal especially the collard greens, the fried apples, the pecan pie, the peach cobbler was absolutely delicious!!! The wings were fire too, we just needed more hot sauce, the Jack Salmon was an ENORMOUS serving definitely could feed a whole family!!!! The 21 piece shrimp dinner was fire too !!!! Excellent food! I was working on a project in the downtown Louisville area and was not located near the central business district and their many lunch options. I tried to keep the team well fed and focused on the project and not out foraging for lunch every day. I stopped in one day to Sam's and called back to the war room and asked for everyone's choices. It was a huge hit and became at least a weekly stop (and sometimes more than once a week) for me to pick up a real crowd pleaser. I try to make it in every once in a while to get some of that awesome home cooking. I've tried almost all of their mains and their sides and you cannot go wrong with their spicy chicken, collard greens and mac 'n cheese and their meatloaf is absolutely delicious. Also, ask for their banana pudding. They don't always have it, but when they do, it is a real treat. You will get way better food here than if you go to a sit-down lunch somewhere, so tip the staff all the difference to show your...

IT REALLY DOESN'T DESERVE A STAR! ME AND MY FIANCE VISITED THE STORE YESTERDAY AUGUST 18TH 2018 THERE'S A WHITE GUY WHO LOOKS HOMELESS WHO WORKS THERE. HE CAME OUT TOUCHING THE FOOD WITH BLOOD RUNNNING DOWN HIS HAND. MY FIANCE THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD ITEM SO HE TOLD ME TO LOOK.
