Shawarma Guys — Restaurant in Louisville

Went there last night. The woman taking orders didn't speak any English so she had to call her boss to come take the order. We were told it would take 7 to 10 minutes but it ended up taking about half an hour. The shawarma wasn't all that great. The pita bread was not fresh it was not soft and very dry. Based on their picture on the outside of the truck I was hoping they use the rotisserie spits to cook the meat but that is not the case here. Perhaps you can call it "false advertisement" The chicken was dry as well as the beef shawarma and they were missing ingredients that you would find in a traditional shawarma. Garlic(toum) sauce in the chicken and tahini sauce in the beef shawarma. The arab gentleman running the place was nice. The atmosphere I would say isn't kid friendly considering the Marijuana smell coming from the parking lot, drug deals we witnessed taking place from the parking lot and the loud obnoxious music coming from people's cars. I would probably try it again in the future but I would order the bowl and not the shawarma. If you want a more tasty and authentic shawarma I would recommend syrian grill on...

This food truck is parked in the Marathon gas parking lot. They stay open late, which is a huge plus for those looking for a late night meal.

We got the chicken shawarma, steak shawarma, and falafel. The meats were really lacking in flavor (extremely bland, no Mediterranean spices), same with the salad--bland. We ordered 10 pieces of falafels, but only received 6. They were decent, very crispy.

This food is sufficient as long as you lower your expectations and realize where else are you going to get the same type of food at 1 am?

People running the food truck were friendly. I hope the best for them. We'll definitely go back for late night meals...

Ordered the chicken shawarma bowl through DoorDash. Chicken was tender and tasted okay, but didn’t have much flavor. The rice was very good. Description said it came with cucumber tomato salad but I only received a pile of plain lettuce with my chicken and rice. Maybe they ran out of the cucumber salad and improvised by giving me a handful of lettuce? I think the right thing to do would have been to contact the customer and let me know they were out of salad and ask if I still want the order or if I want something different. For $12 I think overall it’s a good deal, just don’t expect restaurant quality. It is quick...
