I was nervous, it was dead inside, but I was dying inside from food frustration, so we stayed. I was homesick and craving Sonoran Mexican street food, a sloppy bean and cheese Burrito, and this looked like they could do that.. but I was greatfully wrong. I was not sure what happend, but upon entering my expectations crashed, no cilantro and lime in the air, it was an aroma more in line with a side street in new Deli the Mexico City. When I got ahold of the menu everything started to make sense. This was a Mexican food truck having an Affair with an Indian chef and the love that was made. I needed a no meat burrito which was not on the menu, but the waiter was quick to tell me they could make something I would enjoy, so we got two and an order of veggie rolls. It was the best thing I have had to eat in years ! I love when simple food end up with complex flavors. The burro served with a sweet and spicy sauce & sour cream, both added to the great distinctive flavors. The tortilla was typical but nothing inside was normal. It was not a slop of beans with piled rice, the rice was prepared with the beans and other things - honestly I don’t know what all was in it but it worked ! The veggie rolls where amazing, hand rolled - served Hot and full of good stuff complimented by the same not shelf sauces. The place has a full bar and nice seating how is this place...

On recommendation by the owner, we tried two of the signature fusion dishes: the Bollywood tacos and the surf n turf (desidilla). They are made with paratha, which is an Indian flat bread and if you haven't ever tried it? You are missing out. We couldn't pick a favorite because they were both just so incredibly good. They were akin to tacos and quesadillas, but were so much more than that. The flavors pair and meld together so well.
Normally, we would never have dessert in the middle of the day, but we had to try the beloved authentic dessert we had never seen before. The gulab Jamun with ice cream (traditionally like a fried dough ball soaked in a fragrant syrup) is a little like a pound cake ball. No regrets ordering it, and I think you should try it, too.
As an added bonus, the owner opened the door for me as I was walking in, which was an incredible way to start our experience here.
If you happen to be with less adventurous with food folks, they do have non fusion foods from tacos and burritos to chicken and waffles, quesadillas, and nachos. I'm sure they are just as good as the...
Read moreThis is my third visit to Tikka Taco, and I keep coming back for a reason—this place is incredible! The food is phenomenal. The lamb tacos? Who knew they’d be this good! They’re absolutely amazing. The Bollywood tacos are another must-try—the shell is a perfect fusion between a tortilla and naan, and it just works, creating a comforting, flavorful bite that keeps you coming back for more.
The Tikka Masala and Biryani are just as fantastic—fresh, made to order, and bursting with flavor. Their accompanying sauces, pico de gallo, and draft selections only elevate the experience. And did I mention they have happy hour?
Beyond the incredible food, the team here truly makes the experience special. Chef Danny is clearly passionate about his craft, and it shows in every bite. Gavin and Shawn at the bar and on the floor are personable, attentive, and genuinely care about making sure you have an amazing time. Their enthusiasm for the food and service makes all the difference.
