Pizza was ok. Staff was ok. Atmosphere was ok. Just ok. That's how I would describe this place. We agree with previous reviewers on the acoustics. Way too loud. Can't hear yourself think and you have to yell over all the noise. Music needs to be turned down a LOT. We had a simple pizza order. Large pizza, sausage on the whole thing, pepperoni on half. Came out with sausage and pepperoni on the whole thing. Our server, Kristin, said she'd have them remake it. I asked what they were going to do with the one that was sitting on our table. With a big smile on her face, she said "I'm going to take it home and eat it." Funny thing is though, she left it on our table until the new pizza came out. My husband ate a couple pieces off of the first one while we were waiting before she brought out the new one and took the old one away. That was strange. Was she really going to count herself lucky for eating a pizza that was sitting on someone's table for a half hour? So gross. Normally, if a restaurant screws your order up, they ask if you would like to take the incorrect order home, right? She apologized to us by saying "we don't normally screw up like this." Well honey, you just did. Then, when we put our drinks out twice to get her attention for refills, she said she was "sorry," and that "we're better than this." Really? Cause now it started to feel like they were excuses. Then after we waited about 15 minutes after we were done eating, she came up out of nowhere and said "I know I have been neglecting you guys." Geesh, where does it end with the excuses? Oh and one last thing . . . I need to mention that we were one of the last tables remaining in the place, so they weren't...

Ay, forget about it! I found myself at da Works Pizzeria in Loveland, Ohio, on my never-endin' quest to discover da best pizza in town. Now, I gotta say, I tried two pies here – a classic cheese pizza and a buffalo chicken pizza. Let me give youse the lowdown.

First, let's talk about that cheese pizza, capisce? It was decent, I ain't gonna lie. The crust had a nice crunch, and the cheese was stretchy and gooey, just like how a good cheese pizza should be. It didn't blow my socks off, but it did the job. I'd give it a solid 3.5 stars, no more, no less.

Now, onto the buffalo chicken pizza, and this is where things get interesting. Youse see, I had high hopes for this one. I mean, who can resist the allure of buffalo chicken on a pizza? But, regrettably, it wasn't my favorite of the two. The buffalo sauce lacked that kick I was lookin' for, and the chicken pieces were a tad dry. I'd say it's a 3-star performance at best.

But hold onto your fedoras, because there was a star of the show that deserves some recognition! The spinach artichoke dip, my friends, was a real gem. Creamy, cheesy, and bursting with flavor, it stole the spotlight with its delightful blend of spinach and artichoke goodness. I'd give that dip a solid 4.1 stars, no doubt about it.

So there you have it, my fellow pizza aficionados. The Works Pizzeria ain't the Holy Grail of pizza joints when it comes to the pies, but their spinach artichoke dip? Now that's somethin' special. I'll keep on my quest, searchin' for that elusive perfect pie that'll make me an offer I can't refuse. Until then,...

I have been here 2 different times. The first time went well and everything was great. The second time we had terrible service and the food was quite mediocre. We were seated right away in the train caboose as we requested which was great, but then we sat there for at least 15 minutes. Multiple employees walking past our table half a dozen times each and not one of them took our drink order or said a word. Finally, a server took our drink order and we went ahead and ordered our food at the same time since we had plenty of time to decide, then as soon as she walked away another employee asked if anyone had taken our drink order? Our food came in a reasonable amount of time and we asked for some napkins because the only ones available were the ones that the silverware was wrapped in. The napkins were never brought. My onion rings were cold and the steak hoagie was soggy because the bread wasn't toasted. My friend asked the employee that was seating people if we could have some mustard for her burger and she replied with, "I'll let one of the servers know" like it was so difficult to grab some. The mustard was never brought. So, one good experience and one bad experience. Maybe the third time...

I will start this review on a positive note. The building is very cool. Thats it. My family and and friends and I visited this evening and did not enjoy it at all. My order was two small pizzas, (they were in fact very small) and an app, two waters, $45. Also, neither pizza had sauce. Very dry. The service was pitiful. Our waitress (while very friendly), came to the table less than 5 times from when we walked and sat down. They made a pizza wrong. Brought back the same pizza with the toppings moved to the other side. We asked for a side of ranch, we didn’t get it until the third time we asked and the pizza was gone. No one got a single refill, we had to go to the bartender. Wanted to order canolli but she brought the check back with the pizza that was messed up. I really wish I could give this place a better review because the inside is so cool and the people were nice. Unfortunately, I suggest you order Dominos and rent a movie for $20. You will be much happier.

Great historical firehouse and train dining car restaurant with a variety of wood fired pizzas and Italian dishes. Our service was quick and friendly and the two pizzas we got were decent. We ordered a small cheese and small buffalo. The chicken on the Buffalo was aweful; it was gristly like it was taken straight off the bone without being trimmed. Once we picked the chicken off and added some housemade ranch, it was pretty good. The cheese was supposed to be light sauce but ended up being saucier than we liked, and the cheese once cooled would just come off in one stiff piece making for a somewhat tough pizza for our 2yr old. Overall it wasn’t bad, but it’s not great. A word of caution if dining in the train car. The noise is amplified significantly and if you have any type of sensory issues around noise, I would advise against it. We had to move 4 tables down to be able to manage it.

Recommend trying The Works for an indoor or outdoor seating! Their patio looked awesome and they have a good menu. We tried the Margherita pizza and it was great as a shared pizza - the large was enough for multiple people with side salads. The side salads were great and large enough to be considered a meal in itself. The blackened southwest chicken salad was also very good! The Mac n cheese bites were excellent! Lastly, we tried the oven baked pretzels and they were good, but $10 for two pretzels was a little on the expensive side - cheese sauce was good though. Overall experience was great, service was awesome, and the menu / drink menu had good choices! Definitely recommend trying this during the spring, summer, and fall - we’ll be coming back when the patio is open and the doors are up!
